The "Pet friendly" amenity is also rare in Waikiki. $258/night was more than I was hoping to find, but is quite a bargain compared to the $400+ rates for their lowest priced rooms on other websites. Well, there was a $10 charge for in-room wifi . Paid it grudgingly since the Hotwire price was so good. As expected they put us in one of the unrenovated rooms. The worn carpet and dated furniture showed why they're renovating. Nice property with a big lobby bar and attractive pool. Room was spacious. It's right next to the 580 freeway, but we didn't hear any road noise in our room. They gave us a late 2 pm checkout with no hassle. I'd stay there again.

Just returned from our trip. I was a little disappointed in the Red Roof Inn. Room was very dated and had a musty smell. Yes, I know it's a 2* so I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but it seemed a little below 2* standards. Free wifi, but the signal was weak in our room. Overall it was adequate for a one night stay before catching a morning flight home out of SFO, but I definitely would not want to stay longer and will think twice about staying there again.

I heard that there's a big conference in town starting on 7/16 so that's why the down
