  1. Used the PRICELINE link as always ... Eased my way up to $130 in $5 increments or so. $209 was lowest online rate for The Venetian. HOTWIRE rate appeared to be $138.
  2. Inched up until I hit. Used the PRICELINE link as always ... THANKS! Yes I'm aware of the extra charges (parking, resort) but should work out well since I'm planning to golf anyhow.
  3. Late bid so I started at $60 and was accepted. If I'd had more time I'd have started at $55. Retail price on Sheraton's website was $180 ... Saw it retail on Priceline for $161. Used the PRICELINE link and thanks as always! I have won this hotel 3 times and it's a great place to stay.
  4. Inched up. Used the PRICELINE link as always - thanks! Be forewarned there is a $20 resort charge per day and $20 required valet charge per day. Still a nice deal.
  5. Inched up over time using Barre and So Burlington as free re-bid zones and finally hit at $70. Used the PRICELINE link as always! Thanks! Online rate for this Doubletree was $119 prepaid, otherwise $149.
  6. Had previously tried for 3* with no success for CENTRAL and AFA area up to $66. Began this time around for 2.5* at $55 and bumped up in $5 increments ... at $65 received counter offer for $85 and refused bumping up to $75 and was accepted and upgraded to 3*. Looks to be the first reported hit in this area at this star level. Rate online was just under $96. Used the PRICELINE link and thanks as always!
  7. Was shooting for Denver West and bid up to $89 for 3* and above ... switched strategy and still included Denver West while shooting for the airport area as well and received upgrade to 3.5* and hit Embassy Suites for $67. I inched up and received counter offers that would've brought the bid to $78 several times that I refused. Used the PRICELINE link as always! Thanks!
  8. Inched up from $40 ... rate online at hotel website was $99. Used the PRICELINE link as always ... thanks!
  9. Inched up to this using free re-bidding strategies (started at $49) ... thanks as always! Hotel site rate was $99. Used the www.betterbidding.com PRICELINE link
  10. Started at $40 and inched up (receiving a +$12 offer at $40) in $2 increments ... hit at $46. Supposedly it's recently remodeled since switching from the Crowne Plaza. Thanks as always ... and as always used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link!
  11. Inched up from opening bid of $38 using advanced bidding techniques utilizing free re-bids. Lowest non-prepaid rate on Hyatt Place's website was $107/night. Used the PRICELINE link as always! Thanks!
  12. Figured I would get the Staybridge Suites, so I started at $55 and received this never before mentioned hotel ... might have been able to get it for less. Also wanted to say ... this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time for the price received, etc. VERY new and VERY well-run. A very pleasant surprise -- the room was wonderful -- modernly upscale and clean ... very large! Thanks as always!
  13. Received this hotel for two separate nights ($51 ... 6/30/11 - 7/1/11 & 7/3/11 - 7/4/11) ... each time I inched up to $51 which was the winning bid despite one of the nights having a $20 higher rate on the hotel's website. Thanks as always!
  14. I bid 3* in the STL Airport hoping to get the Garden Inn. I was very slightly disappointed to get upgraded to 3.5*, but I knew it was a significant possibility. Opened at $39 and that's what was accepted for an upgrade to 3.5*. Total w/taxes = $52.37 ... plus there will be a $10 parking charge. That's the kicker ... It can probably be a bit difficult to get a 3* hotel in this area with the potential for upgrade to 3.5*. Recent reviews of the Hilton look pretty decent after some renovation ... thanks BETTER BIDDING! Used the PRICELINE link as always.
  15. Started at $32, received counter of +$8; refused and inched up $ by $ to $34. Very good reviews for this hotel and a nice location in the northern section of the new Airport South zone. Total w/taxes of $47.17 Used the BETTER BIDDING PRICELINE link ... thanks as always!
  16. Was trying 2.5* in Eppley Airport West area (hoping for Holiday Inn Express) up to $46 ... then came back and tried to inch my way up from $42 and hit this hotel at $45. Used the BetterBidding.com PRICELINE link and thanks as always! $60.13 with all the taxes/fees ...
  17. Had been trying for quite a while for this ... seemed like people weren't getting deal until close to the date of stay, so I waited and with all the free re-bids figured I could get it done in one sitting easily. Finally hit at $69 today after not having success the day before up to $80. Started at $55 and moved up $ by $ ... received +17 offers at $59, 61, 63, and 67. Hotel was $125 online ... friend had $109 block rate and I figure I still saved her $34 total including taxes, etc off the block rate. Used Better Bidding PRICELINE link as always ... thanks for the service!
  18. inched up $ by $ from $40 and received +12 offer @ $44, +13 @ $46, +14 @ $48 and $50 ... 3* bids in Omaha have 4 free re-bid zones at this time which makes for 15 free re-bids. Rooms worked out to be $62.17 / night with all fees & taxes included ... lowest pre-paid rate online was $89 without taxes. Wasn't sure if I could get a bid to accept with the CWS in town, but it should be basically over by the end of the week. Thanks for the great deal ... used Better Bidding PRICELINE link as always!
  19. Thanks for the link! Just wanted to make sure people were onto that ... and thanks for the help!
  20. Hmmm ... I bid up to $88 on Priceline while the Hyatt's rates were $139 and didn't hit ... guess you never know ... congrats!
  21. Thank you for your help ... I have been trying to bid for a friend for downtown Sacramento ... they have a wedding reception downtown that is close to the Sheraton Grand (3 blocks) and Hyatt Regency (5 blocks). I have unsuccessfully bid 4* up to $88 so far on Priceline in the 4* level. The Holiday Inn downtown would be close enough to walk as well (6 blocks), so I was hoping the 3* was that one. Bidding 3* on Priceline brings the Courtyard into play and that's not good for them either. I am surprised the 4* hasn't hit yet b/c the rates online are $119 (Sheraton) and $135 (Hyatt) online. I may just have them book the Holiday Inn direct ($99) or they will go with the block rate they have at the Hyatt ($109). I will probably keep trying the 4* level up to the point where they'd still be saving money ... I expect the Sheraton will come up, but you never know. If it were me I'd be tempted to give 3.5* a shot to "reveal" a hotel at that level since I think it'd be close down there, but can't take that chance for them. I was just curious if you guys had figured out how to "advanced re-bid" around here? Where if you have a lot of free re-bids in an area you can basically trick the computers into allowing you to have MANY, MANY free re-bids in one shot. I went from $55 incrementally dollar by dollar yesterday up to $88 for the 4* zone in Downtown since there are 6 free re-bid areas. I want to thank you for the help you did provide in identifying the one hotel!
  22. 2 rooms for Wed, Thurs, Fri nights 6/17/09 - 6/20/09 ... inched my way up to $68 over time. Hit the Holiday Inn ... $131 (advanced purchase) rate online. Used the BB PRICELINE link ... Thanks as always!
  23. If possible ... I would appreciate it! Downtown Area of Sacramento ... staying 1 night 6/20/09 3* $55 -- Fitness Center, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access 2.5* $49 -- Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, High Speed Internet Access 2* $54 -- Complimentary Breakfast, Laundry, High Speed Internet Access Thank you for your time!
  24. I've been trying for something out West near the Buckeye/Avondale area, but no luck up to $60 for 2.5* and up to $45 for 2* ... so I just settled for the Airport zone where I knew I'd get a better deal. Inched up and hit at $38 ... $50.05 w/taxes. Rate online is $119 pre-paid; $149 unrestricted. Thanks YET AGAIN Better Bidding! Used the PRICELINE link like always!
