  1. Duh I knew that! :) Geez I totally forgot but figured it out. No luck though. Going to ORlando a couple days earlier then we thought to get in before the possible bad weather (we didnt want to not go at all) but nothing was available through them evidently Many were getting and some just got the Hilton for $60 and I went to $65 and nothing...went up to $46 for 3* and no takers either. I think either Priceline had no inventory because everyone grabbed rooms or the ones they had jacked up their prices. There is also a golf classic and the Biketoberfest in Daytona which probably didnt help Ended up booking a studio at a timeshare on my own..
  2. I think I may have goofed up here. I bid for 3* up to $46 and then decided I wanted to try for a Resort only and figured for $60 I could probably get the Hilton I started a new bid and it came back that I had already bid this request..I thought it would be different since it was Resort only requested? Is there anyway now for me to bid Resort only Dang!
  3. Just wanted to let you know I didnt do any of these and even Priceline I didnt go with. Found a special rate at a Drury Inn in Troy for $59.99 and they have a good breakfast too. We are going to be at a soccer tournament in Troy and have an early Sunday morning game so wanted to be closer to the field and not spend alot of $$. This works out good.
  4. What I find funny is many clerks (and ones on the phone too) insist that they cant change anything because Priceline says they cant! And they are very firm about that. However if you read what Priceline says they say you can make requests to the hotel and its up to them. I think its a copout for the hotels to not have to give up nicer rooms for "priceline" people. Not all hotels are like that but I have pointed out before what priceline actually says on their website and still they resist.
  5. Just helped a guy my husband works with get this bid. Had him start at $40 in the Downtown Cleveland zone. He was offered the one time chance to get it if he raised his bid $12. I told him to retry at $45 using Elyria which is a free rebid and he hit for this hotel. Sounds like a great deal
  6. Dang, I knew I forgot something! And for someone who reads these alot I should know better. Its just one night September 3rd thanks!
  7. Sorry if my topic title is not worded correctly.. Any ideas: Birmingham/Bloomfield: 2 1/2* - Breakfast, fitness, tennis, business $75 Troy/Madison Hts: 3* - Pool, Fitness, Laundry $59 I gather that the 2 1/2* Best Value in the Troy/Madison Hts area with breakfast, fitness, internet, business is the Hampton Inn? $32
  8. Just want to add that there is currently a special for many summer dates on Travelzoo for $99 a night here...only good for a few more days however but at least its a certainty for the price
  9. We have stayed in quite a few Orlando rooms via Priceline and never had a problem getting 2 beds..I think most of the rooms in the area have 2 beds..I know some hotels can be "sticklers" about the occupancy thing but I doubt you will have a problem
  10. I personally wouldnt buy this far in advance especially for a 3* for that price. You can usually get a resort level for that much on Hotwire and definitely on Priceline
  11. I also want to point out that especially in the Orlando area its not difficult getting a room with 2 beds. Most of the hotels have them since its a family area. We have never had a problem but again..it isnt guaranteed
  12. Was that really necessary? thereuare? I mean really do we need posts like that?
  13. I believe it is the Wyndham Palace...just so you know I checked their own site and they have a Web Rate for the same dates for $125 so if you end up going with that hotel it would be cheaper to book through them
  14. My opinion is the first one is the Radisson Worldgate and the 2nd is the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird (thereuare may think differently) My opinion having stayed at the Radisson is that its not so great unless a really good price and I have not heard great opinions about the Holiday Inn either :)
  15. That seems to be pretty high for that hotel. I would check their site first if you are thinking of jumping in on this one..heck people are starting to get the Hyatt Grand Cypress on Priceline in the $50s..
  16. Can you list all the amenities listed for this hotel?
  17. thereuare: Is this the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress? I thought I remember those same amenities when I was checking before and figured it was that one..
  18. I would definitely check into a car rental. I hate being down there without a car!
  19. Not a bad deal and it gets pretty good ratings on Timeshare Users Group
  20. I guess you dont get around much? There is another "board" that many seem to have a problem with Sheryl..wait, in fact, I know of 2 other boards that have many posts with people who have a problem with her.. Nothing wrong with reading her information as its public information..unfortunately she has scared too many people into posting and supporting her
  21. Also check out blockbusters online..I have been using that and usually get my movies the next day after they are shipped plus you get 2 in store free movie/game coupons a month
  22. I sometimes wonder if management at these hotels know that their clerks are saying these kinds of things and treating guests that way? There are probably some bad managers out there as well but I would have to think that giving that kind of attitude wouldnt be something that they are taught to do?
  23. Doesnt Priceline still have where you have to select if you will take more then 1 layover? I also thought they couldnt be more then 2 hours long? I would check into that
