  1. Old bid for historical value. PL upped my bid from 3* to 4*.
  2. Another old bid for historical value. :)
  3. Older bid, dont remember my bidding history but thought it would be of historical value. :)
  4. Good deal, I have an invited guest offer from them for $179/night with $25 gaming credit but your bid beats this! Enjoy your stay.
  5. That's quiet a deal! Great job and that is a good hotel to stay in.
  6. This would be a tough call :) The amenities match any number of possible places. My best guess about your first mystry hotel is that it could be either: Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Garden Grove or possibly one of the Residence Inn's in this area. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
  7. I cant find this on HOTWIRE with dates you've posted so I hope it's still available for you. Based on the amenities and the * rating I will take a venture and guess that it could either be: Radisson Hotel Dublin-Pleasanton (More likely based on the $149 lowest available rate) or Marriott Pleasanton Hotel Please don't forget to post your results and also to use the HOTWIRE link to support this valuable board. Good luck.
  8. Valet was indeed free even with HOTWIRE rate! Very nice hotel and staff. Clean and beautiful rooms. Enjoyed my stay here! :)
  9. Hello Amanda Welcome to BetterBidding. I think this property is: Country Inn & Suites Fresno North The amenities (including smoke free) and star rating are a 100% match and the price is also a match as it retails around $124. I did a fair bit of research and although there are a few other properties with similar amenities they are either sold out on your dates or they are a lot more expensive so this looks to be the only match. I think you should also give PRICELINE a shot as you still have a lot of time and you may be able to snag a much better deal there. Try bidding around $38 for a week or so if no takers and you absolutely must book a place this far out try to up your bids. Please also keep us posted as to where you end up staying as it may help others searching in this area. Also please support this valuable board by going through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links from this site, it won't cost you extra but it will help the board. Thanks and good luck.
  10. Made a PayPal contribution of $5.00! Thanks for the great resource Thereuare. I also make sure to go through your links, just wish Hertz would have an affiliate program with you as that is where my corporate account rests and I could heavily contribute through them...
  11. First bid of $71 was rejected, countered with "If you increase by $22 we will let you bid again right now." Declined as I saw a 3.5* with a positive amenities match to the Sheraton Pasadena showed up on Hotwire for the same dates @ $89. Second bid using the Monrovia zone was accepted at $78 which is what I expected. Lowest fully prepaid rate on Sheraton.com is $199 so a savings of about %60. As always used the PRICELINE link from this site to start my booking. Thanks a lot.
  12. I started bidding this zone with variation of one day before and combination of the two dates and various non 3* zones today from the low $50 to my final bid of $77 increasing steadily. It is not part of the Priceline Hotel List here so I was a bit surprised (pleasantly based on reviews) to recieve it! This hotel shows up on Hotwire also for the same date and is an amenities match with the listing in Hotwire Hotels List as a 3.5* but with a much higher price of $102 / night so I think I snagged another good deal today! Lowest rate on their own site is $110 with their Mid-Week saver so I saved just about %40 off that, not unheard of for this hotel but not bad either. Always use the PRICELINE link here of course :) The final piece of my week's stay is in place and I can now look forward to a fun week in SoCal with the Miss. Thank you all for sharing your wins.
  13. First bid of $66 was accepted which indicates I probably overpaid :) I was tired of serveral dozen tries all over the map so I think I put in a bit too much... However, considering the lowest rate on Hyatt is $255 with prepayment I say that's not a really bad deal. Now all I have left is one day open in between this stay and my stay at the Courtyard Arcadia for $44/night :) And yes the hotel list on this site positively identified this hotel as one of possible properties. Used the PRICELINE link of course.
  14. Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry Facilities, Golf Nearby
  15. Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena/Monrovia Very nice place overall with helpful staff and good access to freeways/restaurants. This will cover the end of my stay in this area, now I need to look for something for the first few days. This hotel came up on the 21st but at the $50 rate. 2nd. stay after a very happy stay last week for $50/night and thanks to this board for the hotel list the first time around. Used the HOTWIRE link from this site. Many thanks.
  16. Well I've got the choice for the 3* Courtyard in Arcadia which I liked very much the last time I stayed in for $50 through Hotwire coming up for a few of the nights I'm staying and then I'm willing to go as far as ONT where I can get comfy 3* rooms for around $50 through PL so I'm not sure what to really bid on the 2.5* in this zone! I guess my maximum would be $41 for this */zone. What do you think? Of course I know it all depends on occupancy factors but I have a few nights I can work with so I can vary my dates and try the bids so what do you think I should open my bid with?
  17. Yes I'll definitely follow up on this either way. I might actually try the Courtyard as prospects of a renovated room @ Radisson Suites is rather slim on a PL booking I believe and the Courtyard rooms appear (in the pictures at least) better than the regular Radisson rooms. What would be a good starting point to bid on this Courtyard?
  18. Thanks for the quick response. Yea I've tried HOTWIRE but they don't even have any hotels in that specific zone. My thoughts are also the same as yours, I don't think Pacific Palms is participating any longer cause the past couple of times I've bid on a 3* in this zone I've ended up in the Radisson which is a decent hotel specially with a renovation going on right now but the Palms is just smack in the middle of where I should stay :) I guess I'll just try my luck with the 3* in this zone again and let you all know if by any chance I get the Palms. Thanks.
  19. Hi there, I really want to win a bid at this place as it is very close to a few locations i need to have access to. The last reported bid was from over 2 years ago in this forum for $60 for a single night stay. Has anyone else been able to win this hotel? The biggest problem in this zone is the "other" 3* that's Radisson Suites which I've actually stayed at. Is there any tricks I can play to avoid the Radisson at all? I need this whitin the next two weeks and dates and no. of nights are flexible. Thanks for any help that you can give.
