  1. Bid with free rebids from $75.00 to $85.00 for this win Regards, Donna
  2. began bidding at $85.00-free rebids up to $105.00 to "win" this hotel. I'm thinking it may be refreshing not to have to exit via a loud casino. Regards, Donna
  3. Began at $75.00 and free bid my way to $90.00 when I "won" the Hilton Bayfront. This is a new hotel, opened at the beginning of December 2008, I believe. It also is a new hotel for the priceline list. Looks nice. Regards, Donna
  4. Please help identify this hotel: Complimentary breakfast, Pool, Laundry, High speed internet $93.00 Thanks in advance, Donna
  5. Began with $75.00 in SOMA area. free rebids until $90.00 success. These 3 days are very inexpensive for hotel stays, until the 13th through 18th, when there is a Cell Biology Conference, complete with higher rates. Regards, Donna
  6. After trying every star level in Brentwood/Westwood, up tp $120.00 with no luck. Tried 31/2* Santa Monica and won this hotel first bid $110.00. Being near to UCLA was important, and this fills the bill Regards, Donna
  7. The dates are Feb. 27 to Feb. 28. The amenities are No smoking, Fitness, pool, restaurant, busines, high sped internet. This one has me stumped. The cost is $129.00 Also, am I correct in noting that on the hotwire Boston list, there is no Waterfront-South Boston area? I checked 4 or so times and could not find it. Thanks for the help, please
  8. Bidding was not a challenge at this time of year. Began $65.00 USW, added free rebid and $75.00; accepted at the Hilton. I expected more of a challenge. Regards, Donna
  9. I started bidding at 125.00, bid in increments of $10.00 (with free rebids) to "win" this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised, as a few travel sites stated that was sold out. Regards, Donna
  10. I began bidding at 95.00, used free rebids in to $120.00; then decided to go for a 3.5* (They all are quite nice). Began bidding at $105.00-$10.00 increments until $135.00, was "upgraded" to the Omni Parker. Regards
  11. I started bid at $75.00; bid in $5.00 increments until $90.00 was accepted. Regards,
  12. First bid for Soma District, up tp $120.00 with no luck. That is the more expensive zone now that there have been zone changes. Then USE at $95.00-rejected; $105.00-accepted for the St Francis. The location is great Regards, Donna
  13. First bid of $80.00 was given a chance to add $22.00 to get my hotel. Instead I used a FREE REBID ZONE AND RAISED MY BID TO $85.00 TO WIN THIS HOTEL. LA JOLLA WAS EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED TO BE, but here is great risk of getting any coastal area. I wish PRICELINE would change zones as they did in San Francisco. Regaards, Donna
  14. I've been trying for awhile to win Hyatt Regency; knew that someone won it for $84.00 for 9/28-30; but 9/27 seemed to have no rooms. I guess a few opened up, as I won all three days. I really like this hotel. Regards, Donna
  15. please help identify a 2* hotel in Columbia. Dates of stay are 9/20/08 to 09/22/08. Amenities are Pool, Restaurant, high speed internet. Price is $53.00 per night BTW, there is no hotwire list for Columbia Regards, Donna
  16. I've been trying for a number of days to get a decently priced hotel for these days-prices seemed really high, but I found no conventions or special events. Today I started bid at $140.00, added Brighton to bid $155.00. That number did the trick. This city is like getting a hotel in New York (almost). Regards, Donna
  17. Began at $65.00. There are many free rebids for a 4* hotel. This is a great hotel Regards, Donna
  18. Needed a hotel between PVD and Cape Cod. Bid $85.00 for 21/2*-was rejected. Added 2*, raised bid to $95.00-this is what I got. Seems like a reasonable place; unlike the big cities, there is free parking, free internet, free breakfast. This may be a new win for the board. Regards, Donna
  19. Hi Thereuare, Strangely enough, there were no amenities listed, which made it all the more difficult to guess wgich hotel it was. 99.9% of the time, I go through the links on this site. I must have been so frazzled by this difficult bidding that I went in direct from Booking Buddy, which is where I go to compare prices, etc.
  20. I tried this on Priceline for over a week (most every day) with the same results. I finally decided to go for it and included MidTown East and Central Park South, bid in increments up to the chosen $240.00. I am not used to paying these high prices? any theories? One of mine is that throngs of Europeans and Asians are pouring into NYC; their Euros and Yen go a long way in the good old US of A. Any others? Regards, Donna
  21. This Saturday night must be the "no hotel rooms" night of the year. Tried for days(on PRICELINE) in Quincy Market and airport, first 4 stars, then 3 stars...nothing worked, not even 240.00. Finally decided to book the Hilton Airport through it's sight for $179.00, but when I called "no rooms". This was just about my last resort..not too bad, as we leave at 10 a.m. for New York City (another heartbreaker). Regards, Donna
  22. My first bid for $125.00 was followed with a request to add $22.00 to get my hotel. Instead, of course, I used a free rebid and raised my bid by $10.00 to get this win. As anyone who has read my previous topic knows, this was almost a "miracle". Just shows us how dynamic prices, etc. are on Priceline. Regards, Donna
  23. I bid the Copley zone for 4 days, then the Quincy Market zone for all 4 days, bidding as high as $195.00...no takers. Then I bid both zones for the 22-24th, using all free rebids up to $195.00..again with no luck. I finally decided to bid Cambridge, as that is where part of our business will take place...4* to $170.00; no luck. I then bid 22nd to 24th, 2 1/2 * in Cambridge hoping to win the Holiday Inn Express and Suites (good reviews)..I won that hotel for two daysa at $110.00 a day. Today I will try for something in Boston for the remaining two days. If it does not work, I will try to add two nights at the Holiday Inn in Cambridge...not ideal, but these dates are almost impossible. Does anyone know why the hotels are mostly sold out? Red sox vs Yankees could be one reason, but I do not think that would cause this much of a shortage.
  24. My last rejected bid was $125.00 yesterday a.m. I did use all my free rebids as well as the two zones that I want to stay in. I would prefer bidding as high as $180.00 to keep the stay at onme hotel, but if that will not work, I am prepared to split the bid. Thanks for the help
  25. Thanks for your response. I would guess a maximum, ideally, would be $180.00 per night, though I certainly would prefer not to go that high. I do realize that rates are high. Appreciate any help. Again, would splitting the bid do any good? Thank you
