  1. You have a lot of time until your trip, I would not bid $200 yet. Search the Hawaii board and see what bids are being accepted for the area you want.
  2. Don't expect much with the HP breakfast as its very low budget.
  3. The bad news is that I don't know of any hotel that will let you put a roll-away in the same room with two queens or doubles. Most hotels tell you right up front that roll-aways can only be put into a king room.
  4. There is a fight at the Planet Holywood this weekend that could be running up prices. I think prices could drop Tuesday after the 72hr cancelation dead line.
  5. How was your stay, can you please post a short review? Thanks
  6. Well I got the PL room this time. I had a XX922 room and it was at the end of the hall by the exit door and the wind was blowing hard outside. The howling was coming under my door and it sounded like a train was coming through. So if they offer you a XX922 or XX921 room ask for some thing else. The good part of this stay was that there was a top sheet on the bed :) This is a great hotel with great drink service. This could all change when they get enough customers without PLs help.
  7. In the past if you were not sure where to start your bid and did not want to over bid you could place a bid and when you get to the part where PL asks for the 3 numbers from the back of the card you could put in the wrong numbers and the bid would not go through until you entered the correct numbers. If PL came back and asked for the correct numbers you knew your bid was going to be accepted and you could start a new bid at a lower amount so as not to over bid. Are you with me (hl23) or have you never bid for a room before?
  8. Well for the past few years you could always test the waters when bidding by entering the wrong three numbers from the back of the card. When doing this if you were going to win a room PL would come back and ask for the correct three numbers and if you were not going to win it would say they found nothing for your offer. This is no longer the case as today I won the room without entering the correct three numbers. So I will be taking an unexpected trip to sin city :) . This is just a heads up to anyone else that has been using this trick. I am just glad it happened on a one night stay and not a 5 nighter. Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino Check-In Date: Sat, Mar 1, 2008 Check-Out Date: Sun, Mar 2, 2008 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $170.00 Subtotal: $170.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $26.37 Total Charges*: $196.37
  9. You are not going to get a car for $55 total unless prices drop, HOTWIRE wants $34 per day for economy. I would keep watching HOTWIRE to see if rates drop and in the mean time book a back up incase PL does not work out.
  10. You can always beat Pricelines counter offer. Next time decline the offer and add another free rebid zone.
  11. I can't remember the last time one of these hotels (Paris/Caesars) were reported to the board as a win. Most of the time Planet Hollywood, Westin, Luxor and now I would say there is a good chance of Monte Carlo coming up. Hotwire has what looks to be the Westin for your dates for $99 per night. So if you use PL to bid I would keep your bids under $99. When you use PL you will get no info until after your bid is accepted at witch time the hotel name will pop up on your screen. Please start a new topic for your Niagra Falls stay.
  12. If I were you I would bid these areas, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Tempe in this order. The only problem with bidding Tempe is it includes a not so good part of South Phoenix. You might even bid Fountain Hills for resort as the Radisson Fort Mcdowell can be had cheap some times and the place is real nice. Plus its the only resort I have ever seen come up on the board in this area. Its about 10-15 miles to Mesa and Scottsdale from the Radisson.
  13. What kind of area and price range of homes will you be looking for? Will you be looking for a senior community as most have age restrictions? Are you looking for just homes or also mobile homes?
  14. Nice price! I just got back today and this place is very nice. I can't wait until my next stay. I did have one little problem, they dont use a top sheet on the beds witch was a little odd to me. I guess its some kind of European thing and I need to get out more :) .
  15. No but I don't check the box that gives PL the ok to send me special offers when I bid.
  16. You better call before you head to Vegas as this hotel had a major fire today!
  17. Did you know that you could have used more free rebid areas and keep bidding on your first try with out having to wait a day?
  18. Compact (Unlimited Mileage) Pick-Up Location: Alamo Rent a Car LAS VEGAS ARPT Pick-Up Date: February 2, 2008 - 3:00 PM Drop-Off Date: February 4, 2008 - 3:00 PM Your Offer Price: $12.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 2 days Subtotal: $24.00 Taxes and Fees: $20.30 Total Charges: $44.30
  19. I started bidding for this Sat night stay at 4* with a counter offer of $226. I moved to 5* today after again failing @4*. My last bid before the $169 win was $167. At $155 I got a counter offer of $188. I thought I was going to win the Venetian as it was listed on PL for $349 where the Palazzo was listed for $421 for this night. Very happy with this win, can't wait to check the new place out. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $169.00 Subtotal: $169.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $26.05 Total Charges*: $195.05 Check-In Date: Sat, Feb 2, 2008 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Feb 3, 2008 / 11:00 AM
  20. I would call the Legacy and ask them. This is a nice time share resort but it is in a not so good area of South Phoenix.
  21. You need to be willing to accept any hotel that comes up or Hotwire and Priceline are not for you. If the PH is a must you will need to book direct with the hotel or be willing to take a chance to save some $$$.
  22. PL has a 2* for around the same price witch is a best western so I don't think I will chance it. Thanks
