Thanks. I agree with your warning!!! I will have a rental car--and the flight isn't until noon. I'm open to staying further from the airport. FYI, I'll be driving five hours south on I-5 -- so a location north of the airport would be preferable to something further south. Your suggestions are much appreciated!

Yes, the same dates. FYI, I never clicked on the offer. I simply typed the code into the "discount" box. I'm hoping it's the Marriott Courtyard because of the "free Internet." But I think the Kauai Beach Resort has free Internet in the lobby.

Thanks so much for the info. Those are not hotels I’d be happy with. I’m hoping to get the 3-1/2* Marriott Courtyard in Lihue/Kapaa. I’m concerned that if I name my own price on Priceline I’ll get the Kauai Beach Resort. It looks like my best shot at getting it at the best price would be to book the 3-1/2* Priceline Express at $112 (garden view room) and use the 5% off “SUMMER14” discount. The stated amenities are: Outdoor swimming pool free Internet in room restaurant 8.0 rating; Guest Favorite Is your best guess that the Priceline Express would be the Marriott Courtyard? I used your PRICELINE link to bid $90; then $95 for 3-1/2 star in Lihue. No luck. When I went up to $100 I got the Courtyard by Marriott at the Coconut Coast. I'm pleased with that property and price ($122 with fees and taxes). Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help. I bid $110 for "resort" and was told I could get it is I added $21 -- for a total of $131. Instead, I added 4* and bid $112. But no luck. Next day ... bid $115 for resort -- and got the Kauai Beach Resort. Guess I'll never know if it would have been the same property at the 4* level.
