  1. Had tried $45, $50 for 4-star in Frankfurt (East) without success. Did $50 on Frankfert (West) and got Moevenpick Hotel Frankfurt City on the first try. Two rooms, check-in 5/1/10 and check-out 5/2/10 Total is $116.20
  2. First bid 3* on North Beach + Miami Beach zone. Got it at $47. I should have done better at $42-$45. Can't believe the price is low. Hotwire price is $59. Total include tax $60.68
  3. Got it in the first bid of $61/night for 3-star of Dupont/White House/Capitol Hill zones, 11/23-11/26 (3 nights). I should have done better at lower price but $61 in these areas are pretty reasonable for Thanksgiving holidays in DC. Total is $217.
  4. Started at $110 and add $2-3 per free-rebid and rejected up to $120. Then, bid $122 and get accepted. Thanks, betterbidding. :)
  5. First bid of $75 was rejected for 5/27 (2 rooms) add Hollywood zone and bid $77 accepted Then, only bid 3-star Beverly Hills/West Hollywood zone on 5/28 (1 room) for $77 and get the same hotel. Thanks, Betterbidding.

Well, 10,000 starpoints vs $136 is a good trade. What do you think?
  8. The previously highest one was $148 and it was rejected.
  9. I intended to bid 4* in either Waikiki North or South and went from $120 to $154 with free rebids and several combinations with total of 5 bids with $5-6 increment and finally got this one. Marriott Waikiki Beach And Spa Waikiki South 2552 Kalkaua Avenue Honolulu, Hawaii 96815 808-922-6611 Your Offer Price: $154.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $462.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $68.93 Total Charges: $530.93 I hoped for $129 for Hawaii Prince but couldn't get it. However, I am happy with Marriott, located in the middle of Waikiki beach with direct beach access. The cheapest price on Marriott Website is $229+tax. So, I saved about 32% from the retail rate. Hotwire has no 4-star below $180.

  11. With my 90% confidence, the 4* one is Sheration NY and Tower, and the 3.5* one is Shoreham Hotel.
  12. Which dates are your stay? I'm thinking on bidding NYC zones too. I reserved a back-up on an adjacent Sheraton (NY Tower Time Square) with my SPG starpoints.
  13. The first two nights (Sat/Sun) and the last one (Fri), you should be able to get the Hyatt at $59 rate.
  14. Very happy to get this hotel in a very good rate. Yesterday, I did try 3/25-28 up to $65 and it was unavailable. After reading several comments in BB threat, it seems like Hyatt has a rate of $58-60 during Fri-Sat-Sun and around $65-70+ during Mon-Thu. Hyatt website shows $169(3/25), $259(3/26), $279(3/27). Also, Hotwire rates for 4-star shows $88 (3/25), $100(3/26), and N/A (3/27). Then, I decided to bid the first two night separately. I tried to add a night as well but it was rejected. I'll think about where to stay on 3/27 later. Anyway, $59/night at Hyatt can't be beated. The rate might be lower since it was my first bit for the new set of dates. Your Offer Price: $59.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $118.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $25.64 Total Charges: $143.64
