Using the HOTWIRE link, I found this deal at the Country Inn & Suites. 95% Hotwire Approval and a 3.5 TA rating. It doesnt come up often, so I booked it when it showed up. hmm I want to say its a new amenity set for the Holiday Inn, but the TA rating doesnt match. Im stumped but an opinion, MIA airport hotels dont make great destination hotels for 5 nights

Very nice Thank you for sharing, what a GREAT property. Its infinitely better than the Sheraton on the Big Island. The restaurant there is expensive and not as good as others. Mauna kea and the Fairmont have EXCELLENT restaurants. Also check out Monstera, Roys, Merrimans and Sanseis

There is a recent thread you can look up on this property which has not been officially reported as yet. In addition to the properties discussed on the other thread, consider the addition of 'Newport Coast' means that Pelican Hill is another possibility. imo- If it is, it would explain why we dont see a beach/oceanfront amenity

At that price point, I would guess one of the Aston properties like the Villas. The Ocean Club would be totally awesome. A 3.5* Beachfront in April for $139 is a great deal regardless. Some properties in Maui upgrade you whenever available upon checkin, some dont. To upgrade to OV beforehand, Im sure they will ask quite a bit. Perhaps another $30-100/nt. The Hapuna Prince on the Big Island upgraded me from one of their awful terrace rooms(what they give Hotwire) to partial OV for $10/nt. Thats the least I have ever seen a PAID upgrade go for

This property is my guess for the HOTWIRE 2 star as well with the following amenity set Free Parking, Suite, Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) 85% Hotwire approval

They appear very similar, but the 'Place' seems more like a typical hi rise suite hotel and the House with more a 'home' type feel. Both receive great reviews and both are 4.5 TA rated so Im very happy with this win

Park Plaza is a solid 3 star hotel, and a great mid week price. Nice score Thanks for sharing, as I will need to bid on something near Burnsville in a week or so

The St Regis is a 4.0 on Tripadvisor, the 5 star I see now at $225 is a 4.5. While the TA rating isnt guaranteed to be accurate, I will guess its either the Montage or Ritz. Even if its the St Regis, what a great deal

I think this newest one is the Saguaro with a $20ish resort fee, and a 4.0 on TA. Ive never stayed at the Saguaro, but have stayed a few times at the Riviera(which is fine for the right price) Lets face it, you are going at high season, a weekend in March

Im not seeing that one, instead one with the same amenity set but for $190, 70% approval and $30 resort fee(which I think is the Riviera)

Another clue...Im pretty sure the Marriott is a 'Trust the Thumb' pick, where this appears to be 'still gathering reviews' (edit) I just checked, yep Marriott is a 90% Hotwire approved pick, and this is still gathering reviews. btw- The Tripadvisor 3.0 rating shows for this one, which is another clue it wasnt the Marriott For anyone else looking near this area, several times Ive taken the 'Trust the Thumb' 95% approved 3 star in San Clemente with 'free breakfast'(I think they dropped the 'near beach' amenity) and each time its been the Holiday Inn Express which is an excellent hotel(for the money) Im sorry I have only posted two wins for that property, as the other times I travel with just an iphone and its too hard for me to post from it. btw- I can call Hotwire and they book it for me right over the phone Hotwire is a great company, and this site really helps and I do use the Hotwire & PRICELINE links from this whenever I can Thanks

I noticed this property before using Priceline for another city. While I couldnt make it work for my plans, I just wanted to give a heads up on the property because none is listed on our current Hotwire list. Its only $65 for the dates I needed and after studying up, I think its the Best Western Plus in Albert Lea, so its a solid AAA 3 diamond property

Using the PRICELINE link, I started bidding for a 3 star in W Des Moines at $64 and moved up in $4 increments by adding Amusement Park(no 3 stars per BB users) then Urbandale(while not sure, I thought if I hit it would be in the 'better value' W Des Moines) Very pleased with my win though it shows as a 2.5 star in the Priceline hotel list. It is highly rated 3 star property on hotel review web sites since the recent remodel last year and fetches solid $100+/nt rates I didnt take the HOTWIRE 3 Star W Des Moines because Im pretty sure that was Chase Suites, and really not what I was looking for. My experience has shown that Priceline 3 stars are generally better properties than Hotwire 3 Stars Thank you Better Bidding, and Better Bidding members

They did a 16 mill renovation, so this is one of those Hotwire 3*s that actually is a full 3 star hotel. I see their Sept prices are well under $100 on Hotwire, you can pick this out with its 95% 'thumbs up' and the other Holiday Inn in SC is 90%

You have so many days, there might be 4* properties willing to do $80 or less on some of those days, but at full occupancy some of those days thus unable to meet your demands. Consider breaking up your dates and moving properties, or consider a 3 star property

There are only two 5*s on Maui, the Four Seasons probably wont upgrade you and I think they are probably close to full in August. The Ritz oftens upgrades as they are often sub 80% full- each time Ive gone Ive been upgraded even at peak season anywayss...why Im posting. My last visit to Hawaii(another island 4*) upon checking in the clerk kept his left hand extended fidgiting with his pen as he checked the computer to see what rooms were available. After 2 minutes he stopped and gave me what room category I booked. Ive been upgraded so often for nothing, I missed my chance for the $20 upgrade while I cant prove thats what he wanted ...Im guessing we are on that slippery slope

My apologies mward...its now a Wyndham It must be a recent change because the photo is still showing 'Crown Plaza' marked on the hotel...anyways, this is the place Im GUESSING

That price for a wkend & lack of a 'shuttle' listed makes me think Crowne Plaza is a possibility, which also has a parking fee. Well, at least when I stayed there they had a fee($15? or something)
