  3. Thanks for the help. There were no 3* in the Noth or Downtown zones. The North also had: 2* Tallahassee North Amenities = Internet $49.00/night Thanks again for the help! :)
  4. Going to Tally for FSU college visit 11/4 - 11/06/07 (yes, I know it's early, I'd like to get hotel in case of potential football games that week.) 2.5* Tallahassee Downtown FSU Amenities = Comp. B'fst, Pool, Internet $49.00/night Hoping this isn't LaQuinta as it's gotten terrible reviews on TripAdvisor as well as from a few friends who've been to that area as well. 2.5* Tallahassee North Amenities = Pool $39.00/night Thank you for any assistance! :)
  5. Stayed here 10/20 to 10/22/06 for the Red Bull Flutag at Inner Harbor. Got the hotel on Priceline for $83/night. Had read some horror stories about this hotel and almost blew this weekend off. So glad we didn't - pleasantly surprised - the lobby is beautiful. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the South Tower. Room was plenty big w/two queen beds, nightstand between, large TV, two sitting chairs w/table, desk w/chair. Bathroom was large, good shower. The only "ick" was that the vents REALLY needed dusting. I wore white socks and the bottoms were not "that" dirty after walking around a bit (did that in Disney World and they were black.) Walk to the Harbor area not bad at all, although coming home after walking around all day - it is an uphill climb. Staff was very nice, no problems w/valet (charged $30.24 for one full overnight.) Was easy to get to and easy to get out. Now, if someone could only do something about the traffic jams/construction on 95 North/South.
  6. I believe that I started at $70 for the 3* then finally got the Wyndham at $83. Thanks again for your help.
  7. Didn't get a 4* and yes I could have waited another month or so, but I tend to forget to do things these days and I can imagine us hitting Inner Harbor on a Friday night and no hotel ressie (it's happened before. . .) Bid according to strategy for one week, upped bid to $130.00 for 4* with no luck. Dropped to 3* and got Wyndham for $83.00 for 2 nights $83.00 x 2 = $166.00 + $30.36 tax = $196.36 Website currently showing price for total of @$305. Thanks again for your help with this. Off to Red Bull Flutag!!
  8. Thanks for the advice!! Didn't work today :) but hopefully one day soon. I might have to up my limit to $125.00, but I'll keep trying and will let you know. Used the link "just in case." Thanks again for your time. Jane
  9. Thanks! I believe I have areas are free re-bids as there are no other 4* hotels in the area listed on Priceline - right? Jane
  10. Would like 4* at Inner Harbor for 10/20/06 to 10/22/06. Ready to bid immediately. The 3 hotels that seem to come up on Priceline are: Hyatt ($323.00), Mariott ($319.00) and Intercontinental ($279.00). I'd be willing to be about $100-$115.00/night. I tried $80.00 a few days ago, but didn't add any re-bid zones (BWI, Baltimore West or Hunt Valley?) Any suggestions? The Red Bull Flutag is down there that weekend and my son & I would love to see it as we've missed it the past few years. Thanks! :)
  11. I haven't been banned yet, but glad I found this board!!!! She's been so rude to one person recently who was obviously struggling to figure out that darn FAQ thing. When I was bidding in Jan. for a June stay (I know, I just couldn't wait to get that part done) she never responded to my request - another, nicer, person helped me along. I'll probably be banned as I just couldn't resist coming to that person's "rescue" Thank goodness for this board!!
  12. Have you tried Stub Hub? I just bought my Chili Peppers tix from them - you can see what seats are available. The prices are elevated, but everything arrived on time, just as it should have. Good luck - I've seen both, but personally, preferred Lion King. Have a great time!!
  13. I have only used Priceline once for a room in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. I'm in the process of planning another trip to London and wonder if I should go the "Priceline" route for a hotel. In your opinion, is 10 nights too long for a Priceline/Hotwire stay? I'd really like to stay in one place instead of splitting up the stay. We're planning on going at the end of the June, beginning of July. I'm also still undecided if I want to stay in a hotel or stay at a "serviced apartment" or flat. Might get more of a "local" feel from the flat, but would be at least $500 more for that time frame. Thanks for any opinions/thoughts. I've been reading this board for quite a while and taking tips from the other posters. Jane
