  1. Used the HOTWIRE link and went ahead with the 2.5 110 property and betterbidding of course is spot on as it is: Clarion Hotel La Guardia Airport- 2.5-star hotel Unfortunately, price went up 9 dollars by the time I decided. But still a might good deal vs. the best rate from the hotel of 165 currently. Thanks Betterbidding.

  3. Thanks for the reply. Any idea which hotel this is? There's one at Hotwire LaGuardia Airport LGA - Flushing area Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport Shuttle Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessibility: Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Trip Advisor: 3 out of 5 Hotwire Customer reviews: 70% (182 total reviews) 3.5 for everything except for 4 location. Price is: $110 (regular price: $175+)
  4. I read somewhere that the Expedia unpublished room section is using the Hotwire inventory of Hotel partners, is this correct? If so, will it be okay if I request for help to ID the ff: Date: Oct 09-11 Amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower LaGuardia Airport LGA-Flushing Area Guest rating: 3 of 5 stars $147/night $25.19 Taxes and Fees Total: $344.38
  5. Got worn out trying for those 3.5 and 4 stars in Wharf and Embacadero, just stuck with the old reliable Holiday Inn, at least Wi-Fi is free. Used the PRICELINE link. Price from Holiday Inn site comes out $456.50 all in. Savings of $186.98. Bittersweet since for the same bid amount others got the Hyatt. Guess I'm just being too "greedy". :)
  6. I tried $105 for March 24 - 27, still no dice! :) 4* SFO (Financial District -Embarcadero) Ended up winning a priceline bid in the Fishermans Wharf zone.
  7. Started at $65, Priceline had a message like he is almost certain that the bid won't be accepted. But searching through the winning bids here and the Hyatt or Sheraton has been won from anywhere between $60-85. I started at $65 - Denied Added NOB Hill $70 - Denied Added Civic Center $80 - Denied Added USE $90 - Denied Added Japantown $102 ----still denied! Am I missing something here? :)
  8. Another question: What are the chances of us sweet talking our way at the counter for them to throw in a Car Seat for free? I mean, are these things as simple as hotel check-in's when the receptionist can just bump you up based on their mood?
  9. Thank you for your responses Colfax and Thereuare, they've been helpful. Question: Should we consider putting another reservation elsewhere just in case when at the counter they then tell me that their "system" made a mistake or something, giving me a price too low? Murphy's law...
  10. Yeah, I don't understand the math as well, but the earlier post and the post below are copy and pasted from my reservation. Is this a good deal already? 11. Nationwide Minivan Rent a Minivan for $48.99/day or $225.00/week at one of our participating U.S. locations when you pick up from January 1 - April 9, 2011. $48.99/day Terms and Conditions
  12. I need two minivans for 22 days for our vacation in the States, am posting all the way from the Philippines. Since this is a lengthy lease, any savings per day will come out x22, this counts a lot for somebody from a third world country :) Would anybody be able to point me to deals better than the current thrifty deal of $48.99?
  13. Price: $64 Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Don't see this in the list.
  14. Thank GOD my bookings didn't push through I realized that the Flamingo rooms that I was booking were the DELUXE rooms, those are the OLD and dirty rooms (which accounts for the trashing their getting from TripAdvisor), I was looking at the Flamingo site and was looking at the newly renovated GO rooms (glowing praises from TripAdvisor) and thought that the $59 deal in Hotwire were those rooms. It's good that I realized it wasn't and went ahead to book directly on the Flamingo (Harrah's) website which came out $90 / $75 /$90, make sure you click the hot DEALS link at the top of the page.
  15. I have been trying to book the 3.5* customer favorite (ie Flamingo) through Hotwire for the past 3 days without success. I'm getting Error #111 which says that the itinerary is not available. I have contacted Hotwire numerous times and they have told me to call them. Still figuring out how to call them all the way here from the Philippines. This is my first crack at Hotwire and it has been rather discomforting. I'm trying to book it 1/9 - 1/10 $79 1/10-1/12 $59 rather than if you were to book 1/9-/12 then it would be $79/night the whole stay thru. But no success so far, very frustrated.
  16. Was able to book $69/night from Harvey's directly, click on the hot DEALS portion to see better rates.
  17. There is a CUSTOMER FAVORITE! at $59 (save $14 19% savings) With Amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services This seems to be a match for Flamingo right? I just want to "ensure" that the 103 hotel isn't a much better one that this, otherwise, I'm pretty okay with Flamingo.
  18. The amenities are the same but when it came out 69, Hotwire said it retails for 100, but for this one, Hotwire says it retails for $125. Is it possible that Hotwire changes the retail price? Does it seem logical that the price changes by 34 dollars for the same dates in a matter of 1 to 2 days?
  19. Just checked 2 seconds ago and Planet Hollywood seems to be back, I'd like to know if we know what hotel is the $103 as we would also like to consider staying in that Hotel if it is significantly nicer. Has a Best Value tag.
  20. logged back in to book planet hollywood and it seemed to have disappeared. what i saw was a "different" 4* price: $103 retails: $125 Central Strip, with the same amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Price couldn't have jumped $34 dollars in a matter of a day could it? :)
  21. Hotel #1 (Is this Planet Hollywood?) 4 star $69 (Retails $100) Amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Hotel #2 3.5* $59 Amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services
  22. Horizon seems to have a pile of very unkind reviews in Tripadvisor. Harvey's seems to have a pretty good deal where you get lift tickets, it comes out $300 for 2 nights with two lift tickets and $50 food credits, I think this is good enough. Now I just need to book hotels in Vegas, San Diego and San Fo... :)
  23. replied to it, sorry about that. Irresponsible noob.
