Hello, im looking to book a Hotel for 3 nights from the 29th of June to the 1st of July this year for the best price possible. It will be for 2 Adults sharing a room. Prefered areas are Downtown L.A, Beverly Hills or Hollywood but other areas that have good transportation to the usual attractions, Beaches, Universal studios etc.

I have previously stayed in the Westin Bonaventure & Sportsmans lodge as part of package trips which both were absolutley perfect. So anything that comes close or better would be good. I want to book it today for as little as possible as we are doing a huge trip we have a maximum budget of around $210 for the full 3 nights (going to be quite hard i know). Might have to be a 2.5*. Can anyone help or suggest a way to bid or look for one on this type of budget please?

Cheers

Welcome to BetterBidding, nolimit.

we have a maximum budget of around $210 for the full 3 nights (going to be quite hard i know).
Is that $70/night before taxes and Priceline fee, or $70/night after taxes?

Keep in mind almost all hotels in the three zones you want charge for parking, and parking isn't included in your Priceline bid.

With a $70/night limit before tax I think these options could be open to you:

3.5* Downtown

3* Hollywood

3* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood

Does one zone appeal to you above the others? Or you'd like the least expensive 3* or higher available in any of those three zones?

Please use this PRICELINE link for your purchases.

probably $75 inc taxes if possible per night. Parking is no issue as we dont hire the car until after we leave L.A.

We are on a tight budget so would probably want to go for the least expensive out of the 3 zones, but if a Hotel with a pool or maybe in a decent area was only a few dollars extra a night would be worth paying for. Main things we want to do in L.A are check out Rodeo drive, Hollywood hills, Universal Studios so as long as we can get about using public transport easy enough thats fine.

Any bookings i do will certainly be through your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links!

Thanks

Since you won't have a car and are planning to use public transportation I'll suggest staying in Hollywood or Downtown, which have Metro train service, rather than in Beverly Hills-West Hollywood.

A bid of $75 including taxes is about $62 before taxes. $62 might not be enough for a 3* or higher in Hollywood zone but it could be enough for a 3.5* or 3* Downtown.

Would you like to bid up to $62 for a 3* in Downtown or Hollywood then, whichever zone is cheaper? And would you like to bid up to $62 for a 3.5* first before trying for 3*? Or do you want the least expensive 3* or higher?

think it will have to be downtown then. Basically a nice area thats accessible. As i said we stayed in Sportmans lodge & the Westin bonaventure last 2 times weve been and they were both in absolutley fantastic areas. Really enjoyed the two although they were very different. Sportsmans lodge felt as if i was actually on Holiday, but Westin Bonvanture was gorgeous to look around. If i had enough money id love to stay in Beverly Hills or somewhere within the Hollywod hills?

Any other suggestions please fire away.

Gunna book within the next 4 Hours.

Thanks for your time.

Ill be doing quite a few bookings through your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links
