Priceline Hotel: 4* in Bedford

Do you happen to know if the Omni Bedford Springs is available in Priceline's Name your Own Price group of hotels?

Al hotel reported to the board in this zone would be in the Priceline Hotel List... we have not yet seen any 4* hotels reported to the board in this zone, but as you might expect, we don't see much bidding here either.

I was looking at 4/22/12 for one night.

I saw PRICELINE listed the Onmi Bedford Springs for $239 (their own site has a AAA rate for $216) and I would like to get it for less...

The 'retail' and 'bidding' side of PRICELINE's service each use a different universe of hotels. There is quite a bit of overlaps so this Omni would certainly be at least one possibility, but there could be other 4* hotels not appearing on the 'retail' side, and it's also possible that this Omni doesn't participate in the 'name your own price' side.

Are you willing to accept any 4* hotel in this zone OR is the Omni the only one you're willing to accept? If you'd like to try bidding, let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

The highest star rating in Bedford is 4* on PRICELINE's "Name Your Own Price" product, so unless there is another 4* hotel, you should have a good shot. Also, your stay is a Sunday night which typically has the lowest occupancy levels.

I tried $140 and was rejected.

Added Breezewood area and went to $150 ad was rejected.

Any thoughts for tomorrow...

I as thinking $150 was a pretty decent bid considering the day of the week and the $216 AAA rate that is available. Love to hear your thoughts on what is realistic..

We don't have much/any bidding history in this area so it's difficult to stay, but due to competition factors, it can often be more difficult to get deep discounts in less hotel populated areas (vs. large cities with numerous hotels in the zone). However, i will add that when comparing rates you can't use 'membership rates' such as AAA for comparison purposes, you need to use rates that are available to the general public.

At the moment $150 obviously isn't enough, and it's last minute enough that i wouldn't expect the hotel to suddenly drop rates tomorrow or the day after.

Let us know if bid again and/or at a higher amount.
