If you've decided to change locations from your Scottsdale hotel thread please remember conclude that thread so that future readers know that you changed the itinerary as opposed to being left wondering if you were successful but didn't post, canceled the trip, etc. (or follow-up this thread if you ultimately go to Scottsdale)

The 4.5* property above matches reports for both the Conrad Hilton and InterContinental, so either of these would be my best guess for this one.

The 4* NMA property matches multiple properties, with the Allerton Crowne Plaza, Millennium Knickerbocker, Sutton Place, The Avenue, Drake, Westin Michigan Avenue and Whitehall Hotel have all been seen with this amenity set... any of these would be among the likely outcomes.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.

Still considering both locations.

Please let us know when you confirm location decision. In the meantime, I will note that - as much as I do like to promote Chicago as a destination - Scottsdale and Chicago in mid-Feb are two very, very different experiences. Chicago is cheaper than usual around this time, mainly because it can be very, very, very (very) cold. So far, Winter in Chicago has been better-than-expected, but late Jan through Feb can be bad (hopefully it will continue to be like it has temp-wise this Winter, but traditionally it hasn't.)

Around mid-Feb, most people in Chicago probably wish they were in Scottsdale or something like it.

Again, Chicago is cheaper (NYC is cheaper than usual in Feb as well - aside from Fashion Week - although Chicago is particularly cheap) and there will be less people at places like museums, but brace for the possibility of seriously brisk weather.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches and please keep us updated.

Thanks for the tips :) We are from Michigan and used to the cold. We are being married in February and just looking for a quick getaway post-wedding for a few days as our true honeymoon to Tahiti is next year. We liked the look of Scottsdale because we had a great offer from the Westin for 4 nights at the Kieurland villas for $349, but unfortunately none of their available dates were in February. I thought HOTWIRE / PRICELINE may have some good deals since the area looked great, but so far no luck. Our second option is Chicago as the Red Wings will be in town playing the Blackhawks and it is definitely cheaper than I've ever seen for Chicago, but yes, knowing that it's cold, it's made for a very tricky decision!

Going to keep trying and will post on our success/failure.

...open to other warmer (cheaper) destination ideas as well, other than Las Vegas.

Thanks!!

We don't mind paying up to 130 or 150 for an awesome place. We're up for anything really. Warm relaxation would be awesome, but shopping, sporting events, etc are cool too. We do NYC and Vegas every year and just got back from Hawaii so those are the two options we'd say no to. Flight fares make a bit of a difference too but most places are reasonable from Detroit.

Dates ar flexible that week. Could leave 2/20, 2/21, 2/22 for 4,5,6 days.

Much appreciate your help!!
