Priceline Hotel: HELP: Las Vegas 5* 6/30-7/4

I am trying to help a friend who wants to go to Las Vegas June 30-July 5 and wants to stay in a 5* (Venetian). Have looked at Venetian.com and rates for are $249 for each night. Would like help as to where to start. Woudl like to keep bidding under $200. Thanks.

The rate that you saw on their website wasn't their special rates. The special rates are:

6/30 $149.00, 7/1 $199.00, 7/2 $329.00, 7/3 $239.00

The rate for 7/2 will be the only difficulty in obtaining a low rate. Hotwire is showing a 5* North Strip at $224, so it may be possible to win it on PL for less than $200.

I think this can be done, but it will involve SPLITTING YOUR BID, which always has a bit of risk that what you think will be accepted won't, and you'll ultimately have to end up changing hotels over the course of the stay.

Let us know if this is an option and we'll advise on how to proceed.

No this is not an option - do not want to split bids.

Well here is what i was thinking for this (and then you can say if it is/isn't an option):

6/30 : HOTWIRE 5* at $124/nite

7/1+7/2: HOTWIRE 5* at $254/nite

7/3 : EasyClickTravel at $131/nite

$733 = 124 + 254 + 254 + 131

I certainly think the above is the best way to get the best price, but dividing up your stay may be the only way to have success given the large price differences.

If you decide the above may work for you let us know as i would make the purchases in a certain order, if not then we'll suggest a strategy for the complete stay.

For some reason when I go to Hotwire, the "Strip" is not showing. It shows areas all around it, but not the "strip". Why would that be?

what dates are you inputting here?

HOTWIRE has divided the strip into two sections: "North Strip" and "South Strip"

so which area do I bid for Venetian? Thanks.

North Strip - you know by running a date and you will see only one 5* offering from Hotwire in either North or South Strip and that is in the North - so that looks like the one. If you want to see where hotels are on the strip look at Map on Vegas.com.
