Hi,

I am looking for a clean hotel room for two near the Miami international airport for two nights starting tomorrow (20th-21st May).

Which area should I choose on the priceline NYOP. How much do you suggest I bid ?

Immediately after that I will need a hotel for an extra week somewhere more central inside the city.

Which areas should I choose for the extra week and how much should I bid ?

I'd appreciate some advice.

Thanks

Welcome to BetterBidding!

In theory all hotels should be clean, but in reality some might not be up to your cleanliness standards. Since you're buying an 'unknown' hotel, what is the minimum star rating you feel comfortable bidding which you feel will meet your standards? What is your maximum bid for this stay?

...a 2 or 3 star hotel should be fine, as long as it is nice and clean to stay at.

I'm sure you know exactly what you want, but you need to put this in terms of star rating. While there may be 2* hotels which meet your needs, there may be 2* hotels which do not, and with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE you don't get to choose which type you will get :) Your reply doesn't tell us what star rating to use in any strategy suggested.

What is your maximum bid for this stay?
This will be the other factor which determines whether a 3*, 2.5* or 2* is even possible. We need to know your maximum bid in order to suggest a strategy to follow.

You're still not answering the question regarding star ratings, but given you don't have much any time to waste i'd suggesting the following given the lack of time and your budget:

At the 3* and 2.5* levels you have ONE re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* Miami Airport...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 2.5* Miami Airport...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $60

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
