Booked at the Country Inn And Suites in St. Charles (St. Louis). This hotel was VERY NICE located in the small old town area of St. Charles (right next to the Ameristar Hotel and Casino).

I started out trying to book in Effingham, Ill and was denied.

St. Louis booking: Started with a 2.5* hotel in Zone 4 (Hazelwood) at $35.00 and was denied. Then I added a 2.5* in Zone 6 (Saint Charles - Saint Peters) at $37.00 and was accepted.

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $37.00 (USD)

Taxes and Fees: $13.19 (USD)

Total Room Cost: $50.19 (USD)

When I was looking for an Effingham hotel I really wasn't sure where exactly I wanted to stay. I was booking this hotel for a cross country trip I am making. I initially wanted to stay closer to or inside of the St. Louis PRICELINE zones.

I figured I should start further out and move closer into St. Louis if I couldn't book in Effingham.

I ended up booking a hotel in the St. Louis area for only $37.00 for a 2.5* hotel property: St. Louis (St. Charles - St. Peters) thread.
