  1. I started at $70 and kept adding zones for a 3.5 star in Times Square, Midtown East or Midtown West. As I continued to raise my bid $5 per round, I ended up getting the Helmsley for $95 (which seems to be a common price range for those who book about a week in advance). I am very pleased, given that Kayak has the cheapest 3.5 star hotel in Midtown going for close to $189. Happy Bidding all!
  2. I just wanted to share that I bid for a 4* room in the NYC (Times Square East - Theater District)(Midtown East) and (Midtown West) for early July. I began my bidding at $65, and continued to add zones until my last bid was for $125 and still was not accepted. I ran out of zones to add, so I will try again tomorrow starting at $125. Good luck everyone!
  3. I put in a bid for $100 for 4 star Union Square East originally, Priceline came back saying that if I upped it to $125 they thought they had something for me. I went to $125. Bid Accepted: $125 - 4 star USE - Grand Hyatt San Francisco - April 5, 2011. Thanks to all who posted above me to give me the range!
