  1. Park Plaza Victoria London, $140.00 per night
  2. Bid up Price.line for the one night I needed at the airport and wasn't getting what I wanted from them. I Added the 4/19/2014 date from Hot.wire hot rate from your link instead 4* Holiday Inn London Heathrow M-4 $53.00 Plus $16.44 in fees Here are the particulars. Thanks again Amenities Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  3. Shortened the stay, decided that the Saturday night in the city was the expensive night. Ended up with 2 nights at Crowne Plaza London the City through Price.line $89.00 for 2 nights total $222.26 4/20-22/2014 Probably could have started lower because I knew Saturday was the expensive night, had no idea it was going for @ $225.00 so may have done better but were only looking at a few dollars I'm sure. (at least I tell myself that to feel better :)) I do have a question though. I received a 5% off Coupon for "Name your own price" says click on it for "get coupon code" However I never saw anywhere to put a coupon code in on a name your own price. Do you have any experience with this? I am also going to book one night at the airport to chill when we arrive so that will work out I hope... Thanks again
  4. Dropped to $119.00 in the last few minutes, looks like the same place...
  5. Here is the info from your BiddingHelper.com site. Any ideas on hotel and if so opinion of the place? 4* London Notting Hill - Bayswater, 4/19-4/22 $121.00 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access Thank you
  6. Bid a few times using your PRICELINE link, they counter offered for me to bid $112.00 twice, I decided to try a lower bid anyway and got 5 nights for $557.35 after all of the fees... 77 Reject 83 Reject 90 Reject countered 112 95 Reject Countered 112 98 Accepted Still studying to see if I am happy, But hey it's a 4 star hotel in Paris at $100 a night how bad can it be :)
  7. Thanks Vanpoodle, I agree about the hotels you are uncomfortable with (only from reports never been in either), I see some express numbers also that do not thrill me. I finally got a counter offer from priceline in "The city/london Bridge" area. However that was $120 bid and they want me to up it to $144.00 will pas on it for now. Going to try another round tonight and see if I can do any better. Still hoping!!!
  8. Thanks Yellowdog, I have bid up to $116.00 Bloomsbury, and Mayfair $110 The city and Westminster $106 Kensingtons and Notting Hill All of these starting at 90 and bumping 5 or 6 at a time. Thanks Again.
  9. Hi again, i am looking at Price.line for a 4* in London England, 4/19 to 4/22 2014. I would like a budget of @ $135.00 a night (tough I know) I have another hotel later from work and we are hoping to extend a few days early. So far I have tried Bloomsbury, 4* , $91.00 Closed and did your usual of close browser and restart... The City 4* $91.00 Soho 4* 91.00 So do I now try another area or add two of these together? My hotel through work is the Hyatt Regency, The Churchill Hotel (looks very nice) it is located in the Bloomsbury area, I was hoping to stay close to the same locale. Thanks
  10. Bid $11 no bid $12 and got instant purchase request for $15 but I decided to wait one more day. Tried $13 tonight and won. 3 days from Alamo, Mid size car, Unlimited mileage, in terminal, walk to car. I was surprised to see this, I expected it to be Advantage which was previously the lowest I could find, they are outside of the airport so they have lower fees. March 13-16 3 days at $13.00 a day $39.00 rental $36.32 Taxes and Fees Total Charges $75.32 Listed Savings as $93.55, great deal if I do say so.
  11. Just posting notes I am looking for a Mid size car in Maui for 3/13-16 2011 I reserved a car from Advantage at OGG, they appear to be off the airport property so the fees are dramatically lower. Reserved 3 days at Maui, 3/13-noon to 3/16 noon for $33.71 a day and about $15 in fees for $116.2 total Mid size car (reserved it just in case I do not score through bidding). Found Hotwire for $19.95 with $28.72 in fees for $88.57 Great savings, I am guessing that this is Advantage also due to the lower fees than most of the airport agencies. Shows as "Counter in airport, shuttle to car" Tried Priceline at $10.00 a day (I know this sounds way low, However their fees are so high that $30 for 3 days has $35.95 in fees for a $65.95 total) rejected. I will try a few dollars more for a midsize just to test the waters but the Priceline fees are outrageous. I think they make their profit from the fees. I will probably purchase from Hotwire but I will test the waters 1 more time from Priceline. BTW I use the links from here, when I click on Priceline it lands me on Hotels, then I click cars, I hope that credits you fine. Thanks for the great site Brad
  12. Hi all, I ended up finding a Hotel type Condo room from HOMEAWAY, everything just fell into place for us, we fit in between days for them and the place in Kiehi looks great. (but off topic here) I never did get anywhere near the numbers I wanted from Priceline for a decent place. I have been getting emails from Hotwire showing price drops but not much at all. Still they have a 3 star in Maui that was $179 now $140. Thanks for the help and support, I hope this closes out the thread properly for you. Brad
  13. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Didnt catch this part before, "we'll take it from there", does that mean help in bidding or does it mean we'll see how things go for you or? Either way Thank You. I have been checking nightly on both priceline and hotwire (from your links now). Hotwires best deal is for a 2 star in Kahului for $81.00 per night, recommended in 80% of reviews. Amenities are Along the ocean Pool Restaurants Laundry Based on that and the price I believe it is either the Maui Seaside or the Maui Beach Hotel. Priceline Tried Ka'anapali 3 star, 80=no Added Wailea 3 star, 85=no Added Kahului 3 star (free bid? no 3 stars there) 90=no Added Kehei 3 star 95= no I also saw a new Hotel/Condo come up on regular Priceline shoping tonight No stars, "Gardens at West Maui" Ka'anapali area $97.00 a night, has very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor. Either way I have awhile before I have to make a decision (scheduled my flight with the group so I hope I actually find something :) )
  14. Hi all, I have been trying for a week or so to secure something in Maui for the dates 3/13-3/16 2011 (started looking around 1/8 or so). I have been hoping to get something anywhere other than Kahului, I think I would prefer Ka'anapali. I have tried all 3 of the areas (other than Kahului) from as low as $80.00 and as high as $99.00, No luck yet. My scenario is a little unusual though, we are doing a group thing and I am just trying to extend it on our own for a few days so I have been just messing around and staying below $100.00. I have until Wednesday the 19th to decide so I will up the rates Monday night to get more serious. But so far I have found nothing below $100.00 but we have been looking at 2 1/2 star and up only. If I get desperate I will try a 2 star then maybe a 1 star. They only list out at $125.00 anyway so if I have to... Does anyone have any experience with a 1 star hotel on Maui? I am a bit afraid it will be dirty and a dump. Thanks, Oh and I have been using the PRICELINE link since I found this site.
