  1. Thanks for all of your help but I think this time I'm going to have to stay with family (shudder). Maybe it's because it's Thanksgiving week but in the past I was able to snag the Hilton for around $50 through your site. Heck- last year I got the Pfister through your site for less than $60 at Christmas. Oh well- until next time.
  2. The mystery hotel with nothing listed for amenities is now $96. Downtown Milwaukee area hotel 4.5 stars 70% 1 Room, 2 Adults, 0 Children Mon, Nov 23 - Thu, Nov 26 There's also this one for $59 a night with the following info: 2.5 star 20% 1 Room, 2 Adults, 0 Children Mon, Nov 23 - Thu, Nov 26 Free breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Business center, Self-service laundry. Not sure what this one is. Thanks for the help. The problem with the Ambassador is they charge a $50 fee per night for a pet which is absurd. Most hotels would charge $50 for the entire stay.
  3. Thanks for the update! I'm still trying for Milwaukee for the same dates...what do you think this one is? It's $90 per night. Downtown Milwaukee area hotel 4 star 65% 1 Room, 2 Adults, 0 Children Mon, Nov 23 - Thu, Nov 26 Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Spa services There's another one on Hotwire that doesn't list any amenities for $95 Downtown Milwaukee area hotel 4.5 stars 70% 1 Room, 2 Adults, 0 Children Mon, Nov 23 - Thu, Nov 26 (nothing listed) Any help would be great! We're traveling with a pet so pet-friendly is a must. I wish Priceline would list pet friendly options.
  4. Never booked a hotel in Vancouver. Ended up staying with relatives.
  5. I'm trying to get the Hilton in Milwaukee for 2 people on November 23-26. Hotwire has a price of $78 with 4 stars. The amenities are: Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower I'm wondering if this is the Hilton or the Ambassador (which I don't want). Any suggestions? Actually I don't see "pet friendly" in this list and both the Hilton and the Ambassador are pet friendly. Maybe it's the Hyatt?
  6. Staying the dates of 12/28- 12/31. I'm wondering if this is the Hilton for $48 a night? 7. After days of trying I finally got a hotel in Milwaukee. I started at $50 for a 4-star but was rejected. Instead of increasing the price to $67 (like Priceline suggested), I added 3.5 star to my search and bumped my price up a buck. Very happy with this outcome as this was the hotel I was trying to get for the past two days. I think I saw the same place on Hotwire's hidden hotel for $59 but I couldn't be completely sure it was for the Hilton. Of course, I used the PRICELINE links provided here. Thanks for everything!
  8. Thanks! I've stayed there before and really like it. I'm curious though, the Hilton has a restaurant, wireless (for a fee), two restaurants, an indoor water park...why wouldn't HOTWIRE include those in the amenities? Any thoughts?
  9. Dates of travel are 8/29/12-8/31/12 The hotel gets 95% approval. Those are the only amenities listed. It's in Downtown Milwaukee.
  10. Right now on Hotwire there's a 3 star in Milwaukee for $59 with the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Business Center Is this the Hilton? Or the Aloft? They have more amenities than this...like pool, restaurant. I'm confused. Any advice?
  11. I do have one question...I have the car for four days and two hours (pick up on 27th at 1pm...drop off on the 31st at 3pm) yet I'm being charged for five days. Is this normal with PRICELINE?
  12. I'm going to Milwaukee to visit family July 27-31 and every car rental agency was either sold out or the prices were around $100 per day (usually $20 per day). I called to see what the deal was and an agent said it was because of the EAA Fly-in in Oshkosh which for rental car places is "bigger than Christmas." So, I went to your PRICELINE link and was accepted on my second bid for a compact car at $50 a day from Budget. I almost wish I'd gone lower but this is at least half of the prices I'd been seeing for the past week. I've never rented a car through Priceline so I hope it all works out OK and they don't give away my reserved car because someone else is paying more.
  13. Just got back and I must say the Hilton is a pretty nice property. I had a great view, the room had a large HDTV, and was very satisfied overall. Only drawbacks? Parking is $24 (I found a spot a block away for $15) and the wifi costs $10 a day. It's not exactly in the greatest of neighborhoods since downtown Milwaukee has seen it's better days but I saw lots of college kids walking down Wisconsin Avenue at all hours of the night and they seemed not to care (it was Halloween weekend and they were drunk). All in all I would go back.
