  1. Just wanted to share with you... the Hyatt is still cheap on Hotwire! Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson Check-in: Sat, Apr 9, 2005 Check-out: Sun, Apr 10, 2005 Adults: 2 Children: 0 1 room(s) @ $82.00 per night x 1 night(s) $82.00 Taxes and fees: $16.95 Hotel Subtotal $98.95 Total Price $98.95
  2. Thanks, I had no idea you could get counteroffers from priceline. I will wait it out the three days and bid $50. How often does priceline do this? is it only in certain cities?
  3. Bid $45.... and got this msg: "We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we were not able to find a hotel that would accept your price for $45 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 206-654-021-68. If you are willing to raise your price by $13, you can try the same request again right now. Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. However we are able to extend this one-time opportunity to you because of the zone, quality level and dates you requested." WTF????
  4. i didn't think so. do you think $60 is attainable on priceline? if so, how do you go about weeding out the doubletree (seemed to get some bad reviews on Tripadvisor)?
  5. ya, maybe i will move this over to Priceline, $37 is ridiculous.
  6. I see what you mean about the Hyatt Regency in Hoboken... the 3-1/2 star comes up as $78 on hotwire. Is this near a subway line? how convenient is it to the city? I assume they have parking onsite, so that's a plus. Anymore info anyone has would be great as I've never stayed in Hoboken, Thanks!
  7. Cheaper than $120 on a Saturday night? Should I try using Priceline instead?
  8. Looking at April 9th, cheapest room I can find in NYC. This is what I got 3*, Downtown (SoHo), Fitness Center, Laundry Service. I think it might be Club Quarters, I vaguely remember getting this same place like three years ago. Any other ideas? Thanks!
  9. BTW, great website... thanks for all your help and recommendations. -Tom
  10. got nervous and just booked it.... Hotel Details: 1 room(s), 3 night(s): Park Hyatt San Francisco 333 Battery Street San Francisco, California 94111 Check-in: Thu, Jul 14, 2005 Check-out: Sun, Jul 17, 2005 4.5* (Embarcadero) Customer fav, $124/night!
  11. I really cannot go wrong with either the Omni or Park Hyatt... def makes this a n easier decision. Do you think $126 is a good price (dates fall on a weekend).... I mean, seems it to me.
  12. oops, think I messed up on the 4.5* in the embarcadero.... if it has a balcony then it is the Park Hyatt, right? (not the Omni). oye. and the 4.5* in USW is now $171... double oye. What to do? Has anyone stayed at the Park Hyatt? The only bad thing I've read is that is has "thin walls". It is also the #5 favorite in all of SF on Tripadvisor. Should see what Priceline has to offer?
  13. Hello.... I'm in the early stages of planning the final few nights of your honeymoon and we are going to be staying in SF. Since it is the honeymoon and all we want to go all out and find a 4.5* that is hopefully fairly cheap. I have not been to SF in four years so I am a little fuzzy on the areas of teh city to stay in. I have stayed near Union Square on Market (good spot, very busy) and also south of market inthe financial district (dead and scary at night, so guns drawn one night during car robbery!) Anyway, I did hotwire search of Nob Hill, Fisherman's Wharf, Embarcadero, and Union Sq. East and West. the 4.5* listings were as follows: Embarcadero - $124/night, Customer Fav, Rest, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Center. Comments mention balcony, so it seems to be the Omni. The Embarcadero listing if it is the Omni would awesome, I have only read good reviews. Might be worth the extra $23/night. What does the Embarcadero offer that Union SQ area doesn't? Nob Hill - $172/night, Customer Fav, Rest, Fitness, Business Center. Comments are very generic, not sure what hotel it is... Nob Hill listing seems like it might be too high... but if it is like the four season's i might do it. USW - $101/night, Rest, Fitness, Business Center No comments, seems it could be either Pan Pacific or CLIFT Based on purely price, obviously the USW hotel is the choice. But I have read very mixed reviews of both CLIFT and Pan Pacific. I know I am way early in looking, but getting a 4.5* in SF for 100/night would be awesome. There are also many 4* listings on Hotwire for about the same prices.... 105 to 125/night. Your thoughts please!
