Was looking at booking at Hotwire Hot Rate for Orlando on 2/8 for one night. When I did one room the Hot Rate was $137 a room, but when I modified to say I needed 2 rooms it jumped to almost $199 a night. I've never booked two rooms before, so I'm looking for advice on what the best approach is. I suppose having 2 rooms selected guarantees both of us stay at the same hotel and that's what inflates the cost?

Amenities - Sheraton Munchen Westpark Hotel 4* Business center, Fitness center, Internet access, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Accessible parking *Note: the Hotwire hotel list had "spa" listed for this property. I booked the hotel for $80/nt, which I thought was a great deal given it said the normal rate was $138/nt. After booking, Trip Advisor showed me a rate of $92/nt. Still a good deal, just not as good as I was led to believe. I used the HOTWIRE link when booking the property.

Closing the loop.. I bidded up to $175 and called it quits. I ended up booking a 4* hotel two blocks out of the French Quarter through a travel agent for a rate I could afford.

Hi folks, I'm looking for a 4* hotel on Priceline in the French Quarter from March 20-22, 2015. I've seen folks get great deals as low as $80 sometimes on these boards for a 4* hotel in the French Quarter. I've placed the following Priceline bids and still no dice! Any idea what's going to snag me a deal? Bid 1: $87/nt Bid 2: $97/nt Bid 3: $112/nt Perhaps for these bids I need to be looking at a 3* range? Was trying to keep it it under $130/nt as it's just a quick trip. Thanks!
