  1. Switched to PRICELINE and got Westin Bonaventure Hotel 4 Star Downtown Los Angeles for $85, total was $105 for one night - July 12th. Was not able to extend stay at same price.
  2. Gave up on LGA after a few tried under $110 and switched to Times Square. Got Millennium Broadway Hotel 3
  3. Tried most areas of Manhattan for $85 and then $90 and this came up. Looks good based on excellent trip adviser rating, but not quite the bargin it looks like since the retail price was just $120. But I'll take it! Thanks betterbidding.
  4. Are you open to ESB area? Just got Affinia Dumont 4* for $90 for end of January and see other posting for $98 at same hotel. I'm sure it's more in APril, but worth a try... and i'd start a lot lower if you've got that long to wait. Good luck.
  5. I've been bidding up to $106 the last few days for 3* lga, hoping to get the courtyard and avoid the crown plaza for tomorrow night, the 27th. No luck so far. Am debating between 2* bid trying for the Fairfield, or something close to the tunnel in Manhattan or long island city. any advice appreciate. thanks.
  6. So without - laundry, golf and tennis nearby - you're pretty certain it's not the radisson? i just don't see any other mention of any other 3* in the midwilshire - usc on the site so i'm curious why you think it's the wilshire hotel?
  7. Sorry, I wasn't clear. Try 7/12- 7/13 and i think you'll get another property that I'm hoping is the RAdisson. And today, it comes up when you do 7/12 - 7/14... $75
  8. I'm trying to book the Radisson by USC for two nights next week, the July 12 -14th. If I hotwire for one night, the 12th only, I get a $75 rate with fitness center, pools, restaurant, business center and high-speed internet. If I try for 12-13th or just 13th, I get $106 rate with smoke-free, restaurant, business center and high-speed internet. I'm confused since neither of these match the radisson exactly based on other posting (Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby & Tennis Nearby) and also coming up with two different lists since the radisson is the only hotwire 3* listed for this geography. Any and all advice is appreicate since i really want to be across the street from USC but really don't want to do the 2.5* which seems to be the vagabond inn and that has two reviews that literally say they have bed bugs. I'm not too picky, but bedbugs really won't do. Thanks in advance, Barry
  9. Three tries... $18, $20 and today $21 was a winner w/ National. HOTWIRE total is $251 so there's a small savings there too. Thanks for your help. Your Offer Price: $21.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 7 days Subtotal: $147.00 Taxes and Fees: $70.58 Total Charges: $217.58 Lowest Published Price: $672.61 Total Savings:* $455.03 (You saved 68%)
  10. oops, bad math, you are correct. so where would you start... and how soon?
  11. Fox is the only cheap on-site rental at about $35/day in a weekly rate. The other majors are more like $50+/day all in. I could cab it to an Enterprise 2 miles away and also get it for less than $30 / day, but i don't care too much for Enterprise from experience. also, HOTWIRE shows $25/day but all in looks like about $35/day. There's also plenty of time between now and then, is it best to bid sooner or wait until the last minute for a bargain on cars?
  12. Any advice before I begin bidding? Thanks in advance. Barry
  13. i can't chance it with one bed so i used points to get rooms. thanks for your help.
  14. We need two rooms, both double occupancy but just one needing seperate beds for two people... got a grown teenage boy with a parent in one. I'm not as concerned about star ratings as ease of getting the double bed, so anything from 2.5 up is fine in the $100 - 125 range. we're down around nyu for activities so theater district and mtw are doable, just not quite as close. Thanks.
  15. I know you can't reserve it with PRICELINE, but if I need a good chance of getting a room with two beds, doubles or queens and want to stay midtown east or below on 5/11/10. What do you suggest? Thanks in advance
