I just booked the 3.5* downtown montreal hotel on hotwire for $69 and got the Holiday Inn Midtown - 420 sherbrooke. Booked Feb 10, 2010 for stay Feb 16-19, 2010 Amenities listed at time of bidding were: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Spa Services based on Richtree's Hotwire description I thought I was going to get the Delta - chose HOTWIRE over PRICELINE thinking the Delta would be fine enough. Now I am stuck in a hotel that has 90% bad reviews due to noise, thin walls, poor service from staff, and generally run down state of hotel - in short it sounds like a dump. One thing I did notice was that the hotel was recommended by 85% or so of customer reviews on the weekend. On the day I booked the indicator had dropped to 65% approval by customer approval - but it didn't click for me that there was a hotel swap. Just checked the sight again and it says they are still gathering reviews for this property - I did a search and was hard pressed to find one positive review of the hotel. In hindsight - the delta rooms were gone so they swapped in the Holiday inn - I should have noticed the lower approval rating. Beware and watch the customer satisfaction level indicator changes for hotel swithces.
