  1. Tried bid recommended in prior posting for $45/3.5* for Disneyland-Anaheim but it wasn't accepted. Added the Disneland-Orange Grove area, also did not work. Finally added 3*, but reduced bid for $40 and successfully got the Holiday Inn and Suites--checked website and it is normally $75/night. This also beats Hotwire's lowest Anaheim hotel listing (currently $48 for dates searched).
  2. As mentioned in my post above, I DID use the HOTWIRE links on the board.
  3. Hey All, Just checked Hotwire for an Anaheim hotel for Nov 1-4. The most appealing one is a $48/3* Anaheim-Disneyland North area hotel. When I checked the hotel lists on the California hotel forum, it didn't quite fit one specific hotel so I'm wondering which one it might be! 3-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland North This hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Recommended by 85% of reviews. My guess was the Portofino, at first, but am second guessing myself... help? Thanks so much!
  4. Ideally, I'd love to spend around $50 for a 4*, and maybe up to $80-$90 for a 5* on either the North or South Strip. I have been reading both the Priceline and Hotwire boards, which is why I've tried previous winning bids on Priceline last night (read above post) but I've never used Hotwire before so I'm not sure what it will get me. The advertised 4*/$59 hotel is Las Vegas Strip - South area Hotel with the following amenities: Casino, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, Hi-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby. When I checked your list of Hotwire hotels, it seemed to match up with NYNY, MGM, Paris or Planet Hollywood--was I reading that right? If it helps, it also says "This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about $15 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire
  5. I won't discriminate between 4* or 5*, nor between the North and South strip... but it MUST be on the strip. 2 posts above this one, I saw someone succeed with $50/4* for NYNY--though I tried it for my dates, and was not as successful. I tried to rebid, including 4* AND North Strip but didn't work. Will plan on rebidding tomorrow... any suggestions?? Also, saw a 4* South Strip for $59 on Hotwire, and saw on the Hotwire hotel list that it might get me NYNY/MGM/Paris or Planet Hollywood--am I better off with Hotwire? Thanks!!
  6. Hi, I`ve been looking for some help in getting a 4* or 5* hotel on the strip for August 1-3 but when I look on Priceline`s Name Your Own Deal, `Strip South` no longer seems to be an option. The one closest to it is`` Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South ` --is that where I should be searching if I want hotels such as Mandalay Bay, MGM or NYNY--thanks!!
  7. Stayed there April 9th-11th, 2009 :)
  8. Fantastic hotel, just by the water and within 20-minute walking distance to the heart of the city :) It was connected directly on the train-line that goes to the airport too!!
