1. Amenities listed for this property include: Free Internet, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, and Internet Access. Additional details says rooms features refrigerators. Thanks again!
2. My daughter is under 18 and guess I can sleep on sofabed/rollaway. I did what you suggested using HOTWIRE specifying 2 adults and 1 child (using HOTWIRE link here) and ended up getting the Hyatt Times Square (rated 41/2 star) for $250/night + taxes. Thanks again for your help!
3. Thank you for the tip on HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS! Would like at least book a 4 star and was thinking budget of $250 or lower/nite. Thanks again!
4. Going to NYC March 18th-20th w/wife and teenage daughter. Looking to stay in Times Square or immediate surroundings. Wanted to use Hotwire or Priceline but was wondering on how to book a room w/2 double beds or at least a king. Appreciate any help.
5. I am also going in March 3/18 to 3/20 with 2 adults and 1 teenage. So was wondering how would it be possible to get room w/2 double beds or 1 king (either through Hotwire or Priceline)?
6. Used the PRICELINE link in post and got Sheraton NY Times Square Hotel as you guessed. Thank you for all your help!
7. Many thanks for your advice and finding those 4* properties. After looking at reviews, I may go with the possible Sheraton you pointed out. Can I use your link in post to book or links above? Thanks again!
8. My apologies for not closing the earlier thread - I just posted a reply. Wow - thank you for the tip on the difference in price between all the star ratings. Willing to pay $200/nite for nice accomodations, but if 4* can be had for less than $120, I would probably settle for that. Going to a play so wanted to stay in the Times Square theater district. I read thread about other areas being preferable so would appreciate hearing your opinion, thereuare.
9. My apologies for not replying/closing this thread. As it's been few years, I have not been able to locate how much I paid. I do recall staying at the Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Univ area right off Route 29. Location was not the closest to the University of Virginia but Charlottesville is not very large and it was a short drive to the campus
10. Looking for 5*/4.5* for Apr 16 to Apr 18 in Times Square Theater district. I see a lot of rebid zones but I was wondering what is a realistic starting bid and approx cost would be. Thank you for any assistance!
11. Thanks for your help and suggestion on HOTWIRE, AaronJB! I was discouraged and thinking about just booking it from hotel website. Completely forgot about HOTWIRE.
12. Been trying to book 2 rooms in a 3* at Charlottesville, VA for Sat, Apr 16 (using PRICELINE link from here of course). Median price is supposedly $139, but I tried from $80 to $120 without any success. Since it's spring break, I am wondering if most hotels are booked there. Appreciate any advice.
13. Liset, yellowdog, musicphan: Thanks for the advice on calling the hotel
14. Decided to bid this morning. Started with $100 in Quincy Market area, and just kept adding areas and upping bids by $10. Finally got my bid of $150 accepted from the Hyatt Regency Boston for Wed, 8/25/2010 through Sun, 8/29/2010. As we are traveling with kids, wonder how difficult it would be to request double beds? Thank you for all your help and the link on splitting your bid, thereuare! Of course, I used link from here to PRICELINE.
15. I am willing to pay more for a 4* versus 3.5* and don't really have a maximum. I will look at other posts in this forum to see what people are bidding and getting for 3.5*/4* in Quincy Market. The primary reason for my starting this thread was to to get advice on bidding a stay that start on a weekday and end on weekend since I believe you get cheaper prices on weekend. But if you have to break up bids, it is certainly not worth taking the chance on getting two separate hotels. I will certainly use links from here and post my results. Thank you for your help, thereuare!
