Searched best advertised online rate @ $149. Started bidding at $60 (approx. 60% off best rate). Immediately received priceline offer to rebid @ $73 to win - and subsequently with each rebid. Continued rebids at $1 increments 'til accepted @ $64. Betterbidding has long been my go-to source for great hotel deals. Thanks once again guys for a great resource. Start 4* bidding (w/space needle & pike place zones) at $87 with rebids in $4 increments. Received first "rebid now" offer at the $99 bid (offering a get at $121). Stayed the course with $4 incremental bids (getting the offer each time) until I got the $107 win.

My target was the best price on a 3.5 star in either the Austin downtown or airport zones. A number of these hotels were either sold out or showing rates online above $200. About 3-4 known 3.5 hotels were listing between $135-150. My highest failing bid was $62. I'd like to thank the admins and all members who contribute here for a fantastic resource!
