Thank you for the advice to tell them up front at check-in. We told the registration at check-in that we had 2 separate reservations and were told that they would block it for two days. The next morning, we checked at the registration office again to make sure we did not have to check out and the woman said she thought we were checking out, the change was not done in their database. At that time, the lady actually fixed it correctly, blocked the room for the second night and re-activated our key cards for the rest of our stays. Good thing we double-checked!
