Was just about to report the same experience... I never tried PRICELINE before in YVR, only HOTWIRE. I didnt really know what to expect so I bid 78$ arriving the 28th to 29th of September (because with fees thats about 100$ total) and got the Hyatt. Then I used the extension offer for another night :) Cheers,

Oh, yeah the problem as described above... very annoying ! In the end I had to waste a Hyatt Stay Cert I still had. Regarding this: It looks like it's the Coast Plaza which might be a nice Hotel but maybe a bit too far off (have a stay at the Fairmont on the day before and dont want to roam around with luggage). I will wait until the Hyatt opens up for the famous 93$ price ! Btw, can I just use the little box above on the left for the affiliate link ? Cheers, S

What does NY has to do with Vancouver ? Hotwire messed-up the transaction up to be honest... kicked out in the middle of the process and after that it was unavailable.

In TPA I recommend to PL bid 46$ on the airport area. I did it about 10 times in the past 3 months and always got the Grand Hyatt TPA Bay ! Cheers,

Hi folks ! After a bit of lurking and some successful bids in Vegas I had to register as some more complicated things come up :) I have seen reports that the Hyatt Regency in Jersey runs on Hotwire under 3 Stars as well as 4 Stars !? Somehow I cant see the Hyatt being a 3* Hotel (having stayed there before) and I dont know how successful a bid in that cathegory would be. Am I better off in selecting a 4* Property ? I havent seen any ID specifications yet, so if someone could guide me in the right direction... Thanks in advance ! S.
