  1. I booked it. It was the Sheraton Gateway. Thanks.
  2. It does show those amenities for $100 per night.
  3. Looking on Hotwire for August 21-27 for Pearson Airport YYZ in Toronto. One property comes us and the amenities are Pets, Pool, Spa, Restaurant, Shuttle, Business, Centre, Fitness Center and Internet. It has 80% good reviews. Thoughts on this one?
  4. Flying out in the morning so I booked with hotwire. Used the HOTWIRE link from this site. Amenities were Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry and HighSpeed. Booking with hotwire saved me a whopping $7 over the identical property on Expedia. Further evidence in my mind anyway, that hotwire has lost some luster. I find it harder and harder to find great deals there, not like the old days and not like priceline.
  5. Thanks for posting your win. The details in your post as well as fudgee's gave me enough info to bid for a hotel as well for the dates I wanted and it worked out.
  6. I really needed this hotel for May 7-8, 2011 and I needed two rooms. I had been checking hotwire for quite awhile but it was not coming up. I was hesitant to try Priceline since the Sheraton was the most expensive 4* airport hotel for this date, so I assumed I would get one of the other in the area. After reading some recent posts on here about the Sheraton Gateway and checking those dates on 'full freight' Priceline, I realized the Sheraton was the most expensive on those dates as well. I decided I would try for one room as a gamble, and if it paid off I would bid again for another room. I bid $65 which was what the other threads indicated they paid, and it was accepted straight away. I went through the process again and got the second room. Oddly enough though, when I bid for the second room, the prognosticator indicated that $100 would give a 'decent chance' of success, and warned that $65 had a low chance. 3 minutes earlier while bidding on the first room $65 fell into the 'decent chance' category. Anyhow, I used the PRICELINE link from betterbidding and got the rooms I needed, where I needed them for $65 per. The cheapest prepaid room from Sheraton direct is currently at $137 for my dates, so I'm thrilled.
  7. Actually we would pay a bit higher to avoid the Outriggers. Wife wants a 'resort' pool.
  8. We are looking to go April 3-13, 2011.
  9. I'm thinking of bidding for a 10 night stay in Waikiki for April. If I check my dates as paying full freight the two cheapest resorts are the Outriggers. Can I assume this is what I will end up with when I bid?
  10. Decided against this trip for now. Thanks though.
  11. I'm looking at a 4*, Waikiki Beach area for February 5-17, 2011. I get a rate of $116 per night and the amenities are as follows: Resort, Beachfront, Smoke Free, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, Hi Speed, and Children's Programs. I think it might be the Sheraton, but thought I would put it to you guys. Thanks.
  12. He forgot: Fitness Pool Restaurant Business 24 hour front desk high speed internet golf nearby tennis nearby kitchenette I too an interested for those exact same dates, and have been debating taking a gamble or booking directly. The price on Hotwire is showing $69 for 2 adults and 1 child. I think it's the Sheraton Vistana Villages.
  13. Thanks,we might just book directly as the new Hilton is a pretty good deal. HOTWIRE isn't offering much for that time.
  14. Everything updated on the other thread. Thanks for the reminder.
