  1. Just posted that review under Philadelphia (malvern wayne).
  2. This is an older stay I did back in May and posting details per another member's request. I had to be in the Malvern area, and bid 45 dollars for a 3 star hotel. I wasn't expecting to win, but lo and behold, I got this hotel for a total of 56 dollars and change. On a recent post I tried the same method (june stay), and bid got rejected; instead got the extended stay america hotel and had to lower my star search. I guess is summer time and hotel capacities are up.... Anyway, what I liked about this courtyard is that across the street, there is a whole foods, so you can go there and get yourself a tasty breakfast or dinner---if you're into healthy foods of course. Getting to the parking lot of this hotel though, is kind of tricky as is almost in the back, next to a shopping center. Courtyard By Marriott Devon 762 West Lancaster Avenue Wayne, PA 19087 610-687-6633
  3. I started bidding at $40 for a 3 star hotel for the malvern area. Back in May I did the same and even though back then the bid was rejected, when I increased it to 45, it got accepted by a courtyard marriot in wayne pa [Courtyard By Marriott Devon 762 West Lancaster Avenue]. No such luck today. The first bid of $40 got rejected today, so it gave me the options of 2, 2.5 and 3 star hotels to re bid. I increased it to 45, and this time I got the following place: Extended Stay America Philadelphia - Exton 2 Star Exton - Malvern 877 North Pottstown Pike (Rt 100) Exton, Pennsylvania 19341 610-524-7185 Definitely not the same as a courtyard, but better than motel 6. Total after taxes comes to $56.11 by the way, I messed up the title, it should be a 2 star, not 3 star
  4. Stayed at the courtyard for one night on 1018 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32301 only thing i didnt like is that their internet connection sucked; is a wired connection and I couldn't connect to it to save my life...good thing is one a one night stay...next time I drive thru, I'll have to stay at another hotel.
  5. Because couple of other bids I had tried in previous weeks using hotwire as a baseline, got rejected....so i saw 46 and i figured, ill try 50 and see; and yea, i can cough up 4 dollars. But since i'm a newbie on these bidding sites, ill do better research next time. :)
  6. First time using PRICELINE for a hotel, so looked around on HOTWIRE and saw a price of 46 dollars for a 3 star hotel. I decided to bid 50 dollars on priceline for a 3 star hotel, and the result came with: Congratulations, we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 4-star hotel. Your price of $50 was accepted by Hyatt Regency O Hare After taxes total comes out to be 64.96 Pretty happy with the results as the last time i was in chicago, my so called savvy friend stuck me in some ghetto hotel which was around 70 dollars, and this was couple of years ago, so hyatt 2 years later for less than 70 is a bargain in my book! :)
