  1. Thanks Aaron JB. I think i will hold off on my hotel purchase since i have a couple of months to go before travel. Maybe prices drop some [crossing fingers].
  2. Thank you for pointing that out. Closed out the previous thread.
  3. Thank you for your input. We ended up not booking a room. My friend had a comp room at the hooters for the weekend. Its no Palazzo but it was free and a short cab ride away. Thanks for your help and i apologize for not closing the thread sooner.
  4. Hello All, I am traveling for a concert on 5/16 in vegas and looking to book a room (1 night) through priceline or hotwire. Best dear so far was $111 for a 4 star hotel on the South side of the Strip. Can you please help me identify the property. The amenities are: Free Parking Resort Casino Fitness Pool Resort Business Center Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Accessible to the Deaf Accessible Path of Travel Accessible Bathroom Handicap Parking Roll-in Shower Thanks in anticipation. Fernando
  5. You are correct. Thank you for pointing that out. Appreciate it.
  6. I am hoping to stay anywhere on the strip for around $100. i have friends staying at the Palazo so i guess Strip South would be preferred but not necessary. Do you recommend any particular bidding strategy? I will definately use the site PRICELINE link. Thank you for your reply.
  7. Hello Board, I was hoping for some input. I am visiting vegas this saturday and would like to bid to stay on the strip. North or South and star rating wont matter as much as long as i am on the strip. I wad wondering if i should bid now or wait till the day of to get a better rate? Thanks
  8. Thanks for all the info. GM Mike, the reason why i chose that zone is because I knew which two hotels PRICELINE offered in the 4* range. Also, it is in the middle of all the activities we want to enjoy during our stay. I too have been keeping track of hotwires inventory and prices. That is actually what got me worried. I noticed the 4* in Burlingame was no longer available and began to worry. Coolfax, thanks for pointing out my blunder. I was neglecting to add the PRICELINE fees into my estimate. I will take your advice and book something cancelable and try again in a couple of weeks. When i do, i will make sure to use the links from your site. Again, thanks for your advice and info.
  9. Thanks for the input GM Mike.
  10. The rates are: Hyatt: $145 fri, and $155 sat Sheraton: $101.15 sat & sun Back on 8/22 when I did my initail research, ther rates were the same for hte Sheraton, and the Hyatt was $139 for both nights. Let me know if there is any additional information you might need
  11. Hello everyone. First and foremost, this is a great resource I am glad I found. You guys do great work here. Now for my question. I have been unsuccessfully trying to win a priceline bid on 3 rooms, 4* hotel in SFO area (burlingame preferably), but have been unsuccessful. My bids have gone as high as $95. I am wondering if the fact i am trying to win three rooms might have something to do wit hit? Or maybe it might be the days I am selecting nov 14-16, 2008, since there is a USC vs. Stanford football game and USC usually travels pretty well? Any suggestions on my approach? I want to stay in this area, but only if it is under my max bid of $95. Would you suggest I wait and try closer to the dates? Or do you think the hotels might be overpriced for that weekend? Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.
