1. Won this today. Had not seen this hotel reported on any forums before. Increased bids by $10 using rebid zones to $180, received offer to raise bid to $222, so knew I was getting close. Increased bids by $5 to $195, with taxes and fees $658. I did use your PRICELINE link. Thanks for the service.
2. Started bidding at $75, countered with $97, bid $84, then $87. Used your PRICELINE link. Can't believe this price for a 5* in London. Thanks for your service. Ray
3. Started bidding at $40 with $5 bonus cash, worked my way up to $49 with $5 bonus cash. Tried to use your link, but I had to log back in to my account to use the bonus cash, so I don't know if it worked or not. Thanks for your service.
4. Bid $55, then $58, then $60. Did use your PRICELINE link. Thanks for the service.
5. Started bidding at $63 with $7 bonus cash added, added $5 with each bid, got the Edgewater at $73 plus the $7 bonus cash. This will work out great for us, as we are leaving on a cruise the next day and some of the photos on TripAdvisor show a cruise ship right outside the window. Started with your PRICELINE link, then had to sign in to activate the Bonus Cash. Thanks for the service.
6. The minimum star rating is 5 stars. I don't have a firm maximum price right now. In the past we've gotten rooms in that zone for $160 to $190. Our stay there will be a little longer than past trips, so we are still deciding if we want to do the priceline thing and risk getting a room that we don't like for the entire stay. On past visits we have stayed in London for 2 or 3 nights, then moved on. On this trip we will be in London for the whole vacation. I will probably start bidding in the near future for around $160 and see what happens, as we still have 1 1/2 months. Thanks again for your service, and we will use your PRICELINE link.
7. Thank you for the information. I think we'll try to stay in the Mayfair area where we are used to the surroundings.
8. Yes. We are arriving Wednesday night April 18 and returning Monday April 23. We usually stay in the Mayfair zone, but my daughter has moved to the area of London Bridge, so I was contemplating that as a possible area to stay also. I have not started to bid yet, as it seems like a little too far in advance, but I'll probably start putting in some lowball bids soon. We've received the Intercontintal and the Marriott Park Lane in the past, with the help of your board. You provide a great service.
9. Priceline now gives you a 5 star option for the zone "The City and London Bridge". Your hotel list for that area of London only lists 4* and lower. Does anyone have any idea what hotel or hotels the 5* would be? Thanks.
10. Priceline now lists a 5 star option in that zone, but the hotel list at the beginning of the forum only lists 4 star hotels. Does anyone have an opinion on what hotel or hotels might be 5 stars in that zone. Thanks, Ray
11. Went up in $3 increments, won this at $75. Did use your PRICELINE link and thanks for your service. I know the location not actually being downtown irks some people, but being right by the airport works great for us.
12. Bid first $80, then $85, then $86. looking forward to the visit. Thanks for your service, and used your PRICELINE link.
13. Hey, I love the new system for reporting wins. Started to bid at $70, went up in $5 increments until won this. By the way, hotwire had this hotel at $117. Had bid up to $155 in the clearwater beach zone hoping to get the hyatt, but never was successful there. Bid through your PRICELINE link, and thanks for your service>
14. Thank you for the additional information. It's nice to hear from someone that stayed there and enjoyed it. So far the staff has been very helpful in adding my marriott number to the reservation and on room requests.
15. Had been going up to $180 or more with no luck. Most of the times on Hotwire, they did not have a 5* option for mayfair/soho, or if they did it was very expensive. Noticed on 8/31 that suddenly Hotwire had a 5* at $191. Bid 5* Mayfair/Soho on priceline that evening and won this on the first try. With taxes and fees, $394 for the 2 nights. Ray
