So, the last room has to be booked for my trip :) I decided to stay in the Wailea - Makena area because its less crowded, isnt`t it? I want to bid for a resort and the max. bid is about US$ 170.

No, I didn`t really changed the location. On my trip to Hawaii I'will be on Honolulu, Maui and Kauai. For Kauai I still don't have a hotel but I am not sure whether I will book it over priceline or hotwire or another site. I have to think about it :)

I just won the Excelsior hotel (2.5*) for 240 US$. After reading some reviews I think its a quite good deal for a New York Hotel at this time. I started my bid with 220 US$ for a 3*hotel, all areas, but had no luck. Next bid was 240 US$ 2.5*.

I just booked the Hawaii Prince on Hotwire (I did use the HOTWIRE link :) ) for US$ 153 per night (11/23 - 11/26). Amenities shown: Oceanfront Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services

I`m not sure yet how much I`m willing to pay but we have to stay somewhere :) All I know is that I don`t want to stay in a hostel but maybe it comes up to that. I even tried priceline for a second time and went up to 220$ for a 2 star hotel but had no luck.

I decided to book a condo on Lihue for 195$ (excl. Tax).

So my changes to get a room in a 3* hotel for under 300$ are very low? Concerning my stay on Kauai I decided to stay in a condo and booked it directly from the owner but maybe I will try my luck for a 3 nights stay an Maui with priceline.

It seems to be impossible to get a room for a 3* hotel for under 220$. I started at 160$ and went up to 220$ but no success. I even tried all areas (ME, MW, MS,SoHo,....). Any suggestions?

The amenities are: Spa Beachfront Pool(s) I really have no clue which hotel this could be because there are only 3 amenities entioned The price for 11/26 - 11/28 is $ 194

That means I should use the Hilton link?

I decided to take the Hilton for 2 nights, booking directly at their homepage. The other 2 nights I will purchase for the Hyatt on Hotwire. Thanks for the help so far.

I will be on Maui from 11/26/07 until 11/30/07. I am thinking about staying at the Hilton the first 2 nights and then somewhere else. Possibly at the Grand Hyatt Resort. I think I would try to upgrade when I am at the hotel because righ now I don`t know if I really "need" an ocean front view :) So, is that the Hilton on hotwire for $ 103?
