  1. Best Western it is. Turned out, we needed two rooms and six persons (including one child). Still got $103/room. After taxes and their normal cut, it’s about $125/room. We’re happy. Other sites are showing nearly double. And it has good reviews. Upon hearing the news, my adult daughter, who is staying in the other room, texted, “Mom, you rock.” So I gotta say, you guys rock. Thanks.
  2. Rats. That was probably my result with two adults. I’m now seeing it for $103/night. Same night, same features, 3 adults.
  3. Please help me identify this hotel. 2 1/2 Stars FLL South. Three adults, one room. $93 for one night April 7, 2018. Includes airport shuttle, business center, fitness center, free parking, free breakfast, pool and laundry Thanks in advance.
  4. That's OK. I'll talk to my daughter and see what she decides.
  5. I posted for this coming weekend, Friday July 24 through Sunday July 26. It's actually for my 22-year old daughter.
  6. This does not match the description of either of your hotels listed in Shreveport. This lists as its features: swimming, exercise room, complementary breakfast and high speed internet access. Can you help? :) As always, thank in advance.
  7. Hotel: $65 for one night Taxes and Fees: $16.09 Total: $81.09 Good deal for a four star near the airport, yet we are a little disappointed. :) We were hoping for the Westin (my daughter has a meeting right by the Westin on the 8th), and the Hilton and the Westin are both four stars with the same features. However, we did save a bundle :o (which will probably be used in taxi fees). Anyway, thanks. We did use your HOTWIRE link. :) ETA...This is for 2008. I forgot to add the year to the post heading.
  8. That's true. We're looking at about $100-$125/night. However, when I posted it, we were debating about an anniversary trip to either Orlando or Vegas. I think we're leaning towards Orlando, so I may have a few questions over in the Florida forum. :) Again, thanks.
  9. Arrive 11/7/07, depart 11/10/07 1) 2 star hotel on North Strip for $52 a night. Amenities: Pool and casino I'm thinking Circus Circus manor rooms, however don't they also have a restaurant, fitness and children's activities? 2) 3 star hotel on North Strip for $72 a night. Amenities: Casino, fitness, pool, children's activities, business, restaurant. That's Circus Circus tower rooms, right? 3) 1 star hotel on South Strip for $79 a night. Now I'm lost here. I have no clue on this one. Can you help? As always, many thanks. :)
  10. Hotwire also had a $50.71 all inclusive option for a full size car with Budget. ($37.95 plus taxes and recovery fees). I took that. Because of gas prices, I wanted a full size over a SUV, and SUVs were running only a couple of dollars more per day than a full size. My next bid probably would have been about $33 or $34 for a full size, so I possibly spent an extra five dollars for peace of mind. I'm happy. End result: LAX $50.71/day Budget Rent-a-car Full Size Pick up: June 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM Return: Same day at 11:00PM Thanks a lot for everything. California, here I come!
  11. Thanks for the quick reply. Both arrival dates were June 19, 2007. My pick up time was 10:30 AM My drop off time was 11:00 PM.
  12. First, just found this site. Wish I found this site earlier...I would have saved a lot of money. That said...I need major help with rental car. My husband, eldest daughter and I are flying into LAX for a very short period. We arrive Tuesday around 10:30 and leave that evening just before midnight. I checked winning bids for rental cars on Priceline, and decided on a $25.00 for a full size. So I bid $25.00, and that was rejected. I then bid on a SUV for $31.00. That too was rejected. Right now, I'm a little confused. Do I wait 24 hours to rebid on Priceline? Or 72? Because 72 hours from now, I'll be on a plane back to Cincinnati. I don't think we'd be able to fit into anything smaller than a full-sized. My daughter is 5'9", my husband is 6'4" and I'm nearly 6'. My husband and I went to Las Vegas back in January with my in-laws (both are about my daughter's height), and we couldn't fit into an midsized. Do I have any more options on Priceline? Right now, I'm limited to LAX, and my arrival and departure date isn't flexible. Also, I can't find where I can choose my price on Hotwire. Sorry if this is a stupid post. I went through the forum as much as possible; however I'm still stumped. I'd love to get a rental for less than $45-50 after fees and taxes. But is it too late?
