  3. hi, I am trying to find out if the following on hotwire is the "melia valencia": inforamtion from betterbidding helper (hotwire-easy view button): 4* hotel date: 23-26 sep 2016 1 room, 1 person 49USD per room per night old town - nightlife area amenities: free internet business center self-service laudry, internet access inforamtion from betterbidding helper (hotwire button): 4* hotel date: 23-26 sep 2016 1 room, 1 person 51€/night (weekend deal) 95% recommendation tripadvisor: 4.5 could that be the "melia valencia"???? thanks for ID-ing
  4. okay, thanks for helping. I like to close this threat (without any decision yet) and decide later or after Arrival. thanks
  5. okay, thank your for this information. the jurys inn4* is really an option - depends on the price - as I now found the hilton prague 5* (regular booked) with 35% winter discount for HHonors members at 78euro (about 84$). if there is some additional fee when booed the jurys at 70$ there will be no big difference in price. p.s. this time I am only looking for accomodation for 2 adults (no child!). thanks
  6. yes, you are right. It made no sense to let you search for the hilton if it would be above the limit in case that you could ID it as one of the mentioned...sorry. and I did not know that I cannot bid specific at NYOP. 4* jurys Inn is maybe an option (if its nearby)...I will have a look on it. 70$/night would be the normal price? or did you ID the jury`s? thanks
  7. ...the point is more where it is located than the hilton itself. it is very close to the bus station where we have to be next morning at 7. but I am not willing to pay 90$! ...maximum 75$ for 1 night without breakfast... but if there is no chance to ID and no possibility to bid specific on it there is no chance to get that price...
  8. okay, done. thanks for helping now to ID the "hilton prague" or give some assistance for NYOP strategy...
  9. ...to finalize this threat: due to the terror in paris at the Moment it is no Option to go there... looking for another (more save) city for the trip, maybe prague. opened another (separate) threat with IDHelp for hilton prague yesterday- thanks for your help
  10. hi, I am trying to find the 5* hotel "hilton prague" (NOT "hilton old town prague"! which is higher in price) @hotwire or @priceline for 18-19 june 2016: Its not sure if it is one of the offered but maybe you can help me to identify if it is one: @hotwire there are 3 offers for 5*s at the right area (old town square - astronomical clock): 1st: 90$, 60% recommended, free Internet, Business center Casino Casino Fitness center Fitness center Golf nearby Golf nearby Restaurant(s) Restaurant(s) Spa services Spa services Tennis nearby Tennis nearby 2nd: 92$, 95% recommended, no inforamtion about amenities!!! 3rd: can not be to hilton (to high in Price!) as the normal price for the "hilton prague" is around 117$ I guess it is no one, as the price difference is only about 22%. @priceline (open) the "hilton prague" is rated 8.2 of 10 (52 reviews) and a price of 117$. @ priceline express deals there is no lower priced 5* in the right area, so it is obvisously not offered there at the moment. I have no experience with "Name your own orice @ priceline" to get a good rate for the "hilton prague", but maybe ist an option... can you give me some help at which rate I should start bidding @ NYOP? do you think there is a chance to get it with NYOP lower than 70$? thanks, ralf from germany
  11. okay, thanks. I have to think about...
  12. okay, @hotwire searching for 2a/1c there is the same price than when searching 2a (about 210 euro including taxes) for the 90%recommended (which you guessed to be the sofitel). does that mean that there will be a third bed in the room (for the child) or only that there is no extra charge when a child sleeps in the same room (means only one double bed or twin beds in the room)?
  13. P.S. ...and since yesterday there is an new situation: it could be possible that I have to look not only for 2 person, but for 2 and 1 child (11 years). and the decision if 2 or 2+ will be done just before the trip (in may). therefore it might be better to make a reservation (where ever) for 2+, looking for a good and not to expensive hotel with no or less additional fee for the child and no matter if its 2 or 2+ in the end. I found some offers without additional costs for child (<12 years) but I guess no way to realize with hotwire or priceline deals.
  14. ....because due to tax&fee it comes to 210 euro (20-22 may). think I will wait a while an think about it. also hoping for a good hotwire-discount code usable. thanks for your help so far.
  15. P.S: sorry, I guess I misunderstood NYOP. I thougt that it would be clear for which hotel the bidding is (i.e. for the sofitel). now I realized that NYOP is also "blinded"...then it makes no sense what I wrote before. you can ignore. thanks
