  1. We've stayed here. It's a very nice hotel. Our room even had a little sitting area. I'm not sure if it's new or remodeled, but it's very modern. I don't think you'll be disappointed and for the price, it's amazing! We've been hoping to get that one again.
  2. It was for diving and she got 2nd. Thanks!!! And the real reason I am posting...the Sheraton 4 Points turned out to be a brand new hotel. It opened in Dec. It was very nice and awesome for the price. We talked with several other swimming and diving parents who got this hotel. It may just be that travelers aren't yet aware of it and it will disappear later, but it was a great deal.
  3. Scott, Check out my priceline hotels post on San Antonio for 2/15-2/18. We travel there often, always bid airport, and never have paid more than $55 per night.
  4. Four Points By Sheraton San Antonio Airport 8818 Jones Maltsberger Road San Antonio, TX 78216 210-348-9960 This hotel is basically at the corner of 410 and 281. Summary of Charges Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $50.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $150.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $34.05 (USD) Total Room Cost: $184.05 (USD) We travel to San Antonio often, as our daughter is an NCAA diver at a college there. We always bid the Airport zone and I review Hotwire first to see what they are showing for unknown 3 star hotels in the Airport and Riverwalk areas. We have made at least 8 trips and bid 3 and 3.5 star each time. Our lowest accepted bid was $42. We got the Hyatt Place then, but haven't gotten it since. The highest we have needed to bid to get a room was $55 last year during mid-March. This was probably spring break time and therefore, busier. About half the time, we get the Airport Marriott Courtyard at $50. We have stayed at the Marriott Courtyard at last 4 times, Hyatt Place, Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, the Doubletree several times, and now the Sheraton 4 Points. All have been great stays at a great price. If folks want to go to San Antonio, I'd recommend staying in the airport zone and just visiting the Riverwalk if you have a car. These hotels all had free parking and some free breakfast. You pay over $10 per day for Riverwalk parking. This is a great Priceline deal and seems very consistently available.
  5. Yes, 7/29-7/30....typo. I'll fix it.
  6. I used your link and bought it off HOTWIRE. By today, the price had dropped and it was $72. The website shows $111.20 for a double bed room (which I requested because it's 2 adults and one child) for a $40 savings. It was the Emily Morgan. It showed on the following amenities. Fitness Center Restaurant Internet 7/20 7/20 - 7/30/10 for $72
  7. I am looking at HOTWIRE and trying to determin the following hotel: It has the following amenities: Fitness center Restaurant Hi-speed internet It is a 4* in the Riverwalk North Alamo area and is $86 per night for one night, 7/29, checking out 7/30. Hotwire says they are still gathering reviews for this property. Nothing matches exactly, but I am guessing maybe Emily Morgan or Hotel Valencia. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  8. $54/night March 4 - 6, 2010 Staybridge Suites San Antonio NW - Colonnade Amenities Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool Business Center Laundry Kitchenette I bought it through betterbidding.com's HOTWIRE link. My rate was $54/night and the cheapest available on the internet was the Staybridge website through kayak.com at $98/night. I used betterbidding.com and figured out which hotel it was going to be. I am saving 55% off the cheapest listed price.
  9. I ended up bidding $80 on a priceline hotel for 6/14/09. I got it and it was the Rennaissance Harborplace Hotel. It's usually around $200 a night, so I was thrilled.
  10. Wow, that was a very long time ago. I didn't end up bidding or using HOTWIRE at all. Sorry, I will follow up, but like I said, I didn't end up bidding. My date (only one night) is 6/14/09.
  11. 4* Downtown and Inner Harbor $89 Amenities Smoke free, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant (s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access I'm trying to figure out which hotel this is. Thanks for you help.
  12. I'm looking at hotels in the Downtown/Riverwalk area in San Antonio for 12/16 - 12/18. One of the choices is 4 star with Pool, Bus. Ctr. and Ftn. Ctr. Based on a recent bid won here, I believe it's the Wyndham St. Anthony and don't want it. It's for $71 per night. However, there is a 3.5 star hotel on Hotwire that I'm trying to figure out. It's Amenities are Boutique Hotel Restaurant Pool Business Ctr. Fitness Ctr. It's offered for $95 per night. In looking at prior posts, it sounds as though the Boutique hotels are usually pretty good. Any ideas on what this one is? Do you need any more info? Thanks!
