  1. As they say - location, location, location. Went ahead with it via your link. It is indeed the Wyndham New Yorker. Thanks. PRICELINE EXPRESS: Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center
  2. Partly I was looking at that area based on price; and I'm not that familiar with the NYC areas. I wanted to be close to the L line or have easy and convenient access to the L line because someone we will be spending time with uses that line extensively. I saw that 4* MSG listing that I suspected was the Wyndham New Yorker, but I was concerned about some of the reviews I read on Trip Advisor. I'd be happy enough to go with your suggestion, however, if the L line access is sufficiently convenient and the reviews are on balance okay in your/others' opinions. Thanks.
  3. I did not end up taking either of these options as I needed to change my itinerary.
  4. Planning a trip April 2-9. Plan to see a Broadway show, and to visit Union Square, the Highline, Central Park, Brooklyn and perhaps the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Wondering if the LES/Chinatown area is well located for those purposes. If so, I see on Priceline.Express that they have a 3 1/2 star for ~$176, pet friendly, restaurant, fitness and business centers that might be the Wyndham Garden Chinatown. They also have a 2 star for $158, pet friendly, free breakfast and internet that might be the Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge. Have I correctly identified them? If those are the correct identifications, they appear to be very closely located to one another, and they both receive positive reviews - is the Wyndham worth the additional expense? Are they conveniently located for our interests? Is another location a better choice? Especially for access to the L line? Thanks.
  5. Please help ID in Princeton Lawrenceville, Nov 10-14 3.5 Fitness center, restaurant, business center, hi-speed internet. $59 3 Suite, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, pool, business center, hi-speed internet, ktichen. $59 Thanks.
  6. Initial bid $125 generated response to add $22. Bid $130 - a win.
  7. Thanks for the answer, AaronJB. I noticed shortly after I posted this query, that two bidders identified it by their wins. It also disappeared off HOTWIRE shortly thereafter.
  8. Any guesses as to what this might be? $199, listed as usually retails at $336.72. Amenities are Boutique, Fitness, Smoke-free, and Business Center. Thanks.
  9. Hmm, the UWS hotel I was considering for a backup had a low rate only for a room with a shared bath. Anyway. I think the UWS wouldn't be convenient enough since there isn't a crosstown subway. I have a cancellable backup for the Travel Inn for $227 (before taxes, etc). What do you think are realistic $$ figures for JC 2 1/2 - 3, or UM/CBS, MTW, MTE, MTS 3* or 4*? I'd prefer to try for the least expensive 3* in NYC while I continue to try in JC.
  10. ~230 for a 3*, and ~300 for a 4*. Some of the UWS hotels seem to have lower rates. Is it difficult to get from the UWS to the Met Museum?
  11. I've bid (via savingsbarn) up to $130 for 2 1/2* or 3* in JC, and up to $230 for a 4* in UM/CPS, MTE, MTW, MTS without success. This is really tedious and time consuming. What do you think is a realistic $ figure for JC, and for a 3* in Manhattan or a 4* in Manhattan.
  12. I can skip the UES. Is the UWS inconvenient to the Met Museum? If not, are there wins in that zone?
  13. I bid up to $190 for a NYC 4* (via savingsbarn) without success. What would you suggest for bidding for the least expensive 3*? How would a 3* in the UES be if I want to go to the Met Museum a fair amount as well as see a show or two? Current max is $200, but I'm willing to extend that some if that's what it takes as it get closer to the dates.
  14. Yes, I'm ready to bid. I'd like to conservatively bid NYC first - UM/CPS, MTW, MTE, MTS, 4* or 3*. In Jersey City, 2 1/2 * would be okay if it's the Courtyard (I don't think I see other 2 1/2*s in JC).
