Priceline Hotel: 2 questions... 3.5* NYC TS 5/17-5/21

Hi.... I am new to Priceline.. and was wondering if anyone could help me out.. I am looking for a 3.5* or higher in Times Square for 5/17-5/21. We would like to spend $150-$200 at the most and I am not sure what would be a good starting bid. Also... My sister is meeting us in NYC... but she is planning on staying 5/18-5/21. Does anyone have any suggestions on how if it is even possible for us to get the same hotel?? I am thinking it isnt possible if we use Priceline.. but I just thought i'd ask...

I would appreciate any help.

There is no way to ensure the same hotel via PRICELINE if you bid on two separate occasions and/or bid for two different sets of dates. You could try to bid for 2 rooms for 5/18-21 and then look for options for 5/17, but if you bid for 2 rooms for 5/18-21, at least you would be assured 2 rooms in the same hotel for that chunk of time. Are you only interested in trying for Times Square?
