berly1657 Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 We need a hotel - prefer 3* or resort for one night, what has the rate been going at? In the WDW area
dianev Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 I can tell you that alot depends on dates and availability. 3* go anywhere from $35-$60 and resorts go anywhere from $60 and up..
thereuare Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!If/when you're ready to bid, let us know your maximum bid amount, desired zones, star rating, etc. and we'll suggest a detailed bidding strategy for you to follow. Lots of RE-BID ZONES available at the Resort level so if that's what you go for there should be lots of bidding opportunities. berly1657 Posted February 10, 2005 Author Report Posted February 10, 2005 We would like a 3*+ or resort for the WDW area or west side, Lake Buena Vista, for 4/2/05 - yes, that is the Saturday after Easter....Top dollar to be paid before taxes $80
thereuare Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 One more question in order to provide an appropriate strategy... what is more important, star rating or price? (ie- would you rather try for a Resort up to your $80 limit, or if you could have success at a lower price for a 3* you'd prefer that)Also, the highest star rating in the 'West Disney Area' is 2* so that zone is not an option for you. berly1657 Posted February 10, 2005 Author Report Posted February 10, 2005 I guess up to $80 at a 3* we won't be using the facilities too much - our reservations at Dis start on the next day....
thereuare Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Rates are quite high for your dates, but i would try the following none-the-less...When bidding 3* in the WDW zone you have 5 re-bids, if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask any questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board in order to minimize any mistakes.Select 3* WDW...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $60HOTWIRE has a 3* at $65/nite, but i believe this may be the Nikki Bird, which if i recall correctly, doesn't get good reviews so i would be hesitant about booking that as an option this early before your stay.I would however check EASYCLICK to see if they offer anything that is acceptable to you within your price range. You can also use our EasyClickTravel Search Tool which has attempted to identify many of their 'Off The Record" deals (by using the left hand drop down menu).Let us know how the above bidding goes and we'll take it from there.
