bishop41466 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $55.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $55.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $17.69 (USD)Total Room Cost: $72.69 (USD)Got it in the first bid. I bid this one because I will have a early flight in the morning and this beach/hotel is very close to the airport in Phuket. Then I don't have to wake up so early and travel all the way from Patong or other beaches to catch my flight.

pmc22 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Wow....that's a great deal for this property!!!!How was the Hilton hotel in Karon beach by the way?
bishop41466 Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 Marriott actually has a few different resorts in Thalang: JW Marriott, Marriott Phuket Beach Club and Marriott Mai Khao Beach.Just to clarify, I am going to the Marriott Mai Khao Beach this time. pmc22, I haven't started my trip yet, but Hilton should be pretty nice. :)Too bad Priceline doesn't have any hotels in Phi Phi Island for us to bid.
yellowdog Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 bishop41466I have changed the name of the hotel. Thanx for the additon to the BetterBidding Priceline Hotel List Looks like a very nice hotel!Thanx for the heads up!Yellowdog.
pmc22 Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Oh no....say it aint so!!! With the addition of this property it would seem that the JW will no longer be a viable option when bidding. While this property looks great and the rooms are huge the service at the JW is absolutely fantastic and something not found at vacation clubs. But for 55 bucks I certainly wouldn't complain!Sorry about the date mix up bishop....sometimes I forget what month it is!!!!
bishop41466 Posted April 10, 2010 Author Report Posted April 10, 2010 Right now, I just hope the political situation in Thailand will be better by the time I travel, which is two weeks later. Does anyone know if priceline will provide any support like allowing us to change the dates or even cancel the bookings in this kind of situation?
yellowdog Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 I guess there must be an official warning for traveling to the country. I don't think that "i feel insecure to go there" helps with PRICELINE. And PRICELINE will work with you if any official warning comes.Yellowdog.
