adamli Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 Can somebody give me some suggestion? Today, I tried $80 but I still can't get one.Thanks.
AaronJB Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 If $80 isn't being accepted, then a win will require a higher bid on these particular dates, which appear busier than average - regular rates for 4* properties are definitely higher on these dates and, as a result, a 4* PRICELINE bid is going to require a higher rate.HOTWIRE does have a 3.5* for $89 in the Mag Mile/Streeterville area w/Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Hi-Speed Internet, Business. That would likely be the Embassy Suites Lakefront. While not a 4*, it's a very nice 3.5* and would offer the added value of free breakfast/evening reception and a very nice location. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
adamli Posted April 10, 2010 Author Report Posted April 10, 2010 Finally get a 3*5 hotel for $75. Thanks.

AaronJB Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 This hotel is a VERY historic property - the hotel restaurant (the Pump Room) was a very popular stop for celebrities for many years - Phil Collins titled his debut, "No Jacket Required" after an incident where he wasn't let in. There is a photo wall in the lobby with signed photos from many famous current and past celebs, and some of the suites are named for celebs who have stayed there. This was once an Omni property, then went independent and was bought the other day by famed boutique hotel owner Ian Schrager.History: The Pump Room. This is also an unusual property in that it is located in a residential area. The Lincoln Park area - as well as the Lincoln Park Zoo - is about a 10 minute walk due North. The Gold Coast nightlife and restaurants are a couple of blocks South.
