discjoker
I already had the Nugget for the night of 3/9 which I got on Priceline for $50. I decided I wanted a second night so I tried to do the "add a night" on Priceline. They were unable to get that same rate. So, I have been checking Hotwire and the Nugget directly. Tonight I noticed that Hotwire had the Nugget for $96, the Nugget website had it for $69. I got the room on Hotwire and applied for the DTD guarantee. 96-69= 27x2=$54Take the total Hotwire price including taxes and fees $112.95-$54=$58.95I was hoping not to pay too much more than I did on Priceline ($62.42) however if the DTD GTY comes through I will be paying less!!!! :) This is the first time I have applied for the DTD guarantee. Does anyone know if Hotwire is pretty good about honoring these things? I will post a follow up when I hear from Hotwire. Link to comment

thereuare
I have never heard of them denying a legitimate claim.I know of two claims that were denied:-Hotwire booked a different class of room than the room that had a lower price... this resulted in a smaller than expected DD claim-a user booked 5 nites which turned out to be more expensive than a 'one week' discount rate that the hotel offered (so 6 nites were cheaper than 5 nites... the same as on the hotel's website). This seems 'silly', but i think fair on Hotwire's part since their terms are that the lower rate has to be for the same check-in/check-out dates as your Hotwire reservation.Let us know if/when you get the confirmation. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
