amihajlo Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 Hi, like I mentioned below, I will be in DC May 21 - 23. Just by researching hotels on several websites, I noticed that hotel Palomar came in very highly recommended. My question is, is this hotel offer through Hotwire. If so, can you help me identify which one it could be under their listings? Once again, our travel dates are May 21 - 23. Thank you so much in advance!
AaronJB Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Only one listing appears on HOTWIRE in each zone/at each star rating for any given set of dates. For these dates, unfortunately, it does not appear as if the Palomar is showing.
amihajlo Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Hi-I will be in D.C May 21 - 23. I have placed several bids on Priceline, but have not been successfull. I would like to stay in the Dupont Circle area and do not want to spend more than $130 per night (including taxes). Is this feasible? We are also looking for a 4* hotel. I have used priceline only once before (for Chicago) and had a much easier time. So far I have placed a $90 bid for Dupont Circle 4* hotel and when it gets rejected I bid $100. Then it gets rejected again and asks me to step down in the star level or add another location (neither of which I want to do). Can you help guide me? I am not sure what I'm doing wrong.
thereuare Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The hotel you first asked about in this thread (guessed to be the Omni Shoreham) is just $10 more per nite than you've already bid, has a very high 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating, and comes in within your $130 all-in budget... is there a reason you're not grabbing this hotel? While you may be successful between $101-$108 on PRICELINE, if the above works for your plans i might just go with this one, given the high TA rating, it would be worth a few extra dollars to ensure something that was well reviewed by previous users. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Your thoughts? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
