spiffycalgal Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 This is the only zone I chose. Priceline's Yosemite Nat'l Park area includes Mariposa and Oakhurst. I didn't want to stay in Mariposa.I started out at $27 in Oakhurst at 2* and was rejected. Priceline offered to let me rebid right away w/ the same zone and star level if I increased my bid by $7.I increased my bid by $7 to $34 and my bid was accepted.Someone else got the same room for $30 recently. I know I may have gotten the same deal if I had started out at $23 or just bid $30 to begin with. I didn't know about Priceline's new "add $7 and rebid again" opportunity. Oh, well. $34 a night over a three-day weekend is still a bargain. :) I checked the Comfort Inn's website and their internet /AAA rates were about $80 a night.
