LuvTheGoodLife Posted April 4, 2010 Author Report Posted April 4, 2010 Dates - April 21 - 25, 2010. 4 nights. Winning bid - $155/night. Took a couple of nights and much use of multiple re-bid zones to get this. A little higher than I was hoping to pay per night but, for some reason, this couple of days seems high-priced for Florida. Tradewinds Island Grand Hotel website has $222/nite for the same dates. Hotwire had what was probably this hotel listed as a 4* for $189/nite, so going with Priceline pretty much saved me the cost of the $25/nite resort fee. I stuck to 4* only when bidding for this stay as I was afraid to get Postcard Inn on the Beach. Used Betterbidding PRICELINE link. Hope this helps someone else.
LuvTheGoodLife Posted April 4, 2010 Author Report Posted April 4, 2010 Ended up bidding 4* on Priceline for St. Pete Beach/Treasure Island zone and got the Tradewinds Island Grand for $155/nite. I posted the details of this bid on the Priceline forum. Thanks for the help and for a great and useful website. I will be back in future when more vacation opportunities come up....
