Priceline Hotel: 4* Ft Lauderdale (Beach) Il Lugano Suites

Bid $100 for 4* Hotel Ft Lauderdale Beach 5/28-5/31. Researched on here for winning bids in this area, and it was always the Westin. Finally posted my bid and it was accepted...... by II Lugano Suite Hotel. After looking at reviews, the hotel looks very nice; however, is several miles away from the main strip, and is about a mile from the beach. From the reviews there isn't even beach access there, but even further down the road. Called customer service, and got the "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do". So be careful when bidding in this area.

And what's worse is the price difference from the regular PRICELINE fixed rate and name your own bid was only $15 more!

Next time I will go with HOTWIRE, where you can see the amenities.

Sorry to hear you received a hotel you hadn't considered, but if you look in the Priceline Hotel List this, as well as at least 3 other 4* hotels, have previously been reported to the board. While this one hasn't been reported in awhile, some of the others have, and the Westin isn't "always the one" received.

Hopefully you can make this work for your needs and your future purchases will go more as expected... feel free to ask for help before your next opaque hotel purchase.
