Ottis Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Greetings Fellow Better Bidders, This a winning bid for two rooms the total cost of which fallows the winning strategy. Alright I needed two rooms at the airport for one night so I started by checking past wins for a reasonable start price on this incredible site. Thanks to everyone who plugs in their info and props to the moderators, now for the winning betterbidder play and the details of the final cost.I started by bidding $37.00 for a three star in the Phoenix Airport (PHX) zone -Denied and asked if I would up the bid by $10.00 to rebid, I use this site so "not!'I instead added the Apache Junction zone and increased my bid to $38.00 ( this zone has no 3* selections so it is a free rebid) read Bidding again before 24 hours. by thereuare, whose explanation is very good. - At any rate my bid of $38.00 was -Rejected but I was not dejected as there are more then one free rebid zones in the area so...I added the Carefree zone and increased my bid to $40.00 ( just a whim to go up by two bucks this time ) -AcceptedAs a note the Carefree zone does not have anything listed less then a 4* but it works just the same in terms of a free rebid. As always I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link, cause this site is that good.Anyway here are the details for the win. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $40.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 2Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $80.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $17.96 (USD)Total Room Cost: $97.96 (USD)Many thanks again to everyone who takes the time to share their wins.
