Well this one was interesting. I know Tucson is very busy in March with spring training, so I was crossing my fingers for a good price in a Tucson East hotel.

Started bidding on 3* Tucson East at $48, free rebid to $53, both rejected.

Some wish the 'upgrades' would go away, but it's all part of being flexible.

As your post is proof of, great deals (1/3 the prevailing rate) can be had if you're willing to be flexible in your plans.

We're going to Tucson that same weekend (March 4-6). A 2 1/2 * would be fine for us, as well. Encouraged by your success, I started bidding at PL. By the time I had used all my free re-bids, I was up to $60 without any success. I'll try again in 72 hours!
