scotch Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I'm bidding for July and I noticed that Omni picks up many of the smaller priced bids here on Priceline. Went to look at their website; the smallest room they have is 275 sqft with a double bed. Wholly, thats small and for some of the bids they picked up on this board I'm curious to find out what rooms people actually received? I'm bidding 4* in Aquarium; Convention & Quincy. 3 1/2* in same areas. I don't want to get stuck there; should I place a higher bid for the 4* and hope they don't pick it up?
scotch Posted March 30, 2010 Author Report Posted March 30, 2010 I forgot also to ask; going to a concert at the BOFA Pavillian. What area would be the best to stay in?
BobC Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 If you want to be right near the Pavilion bid in the following areas:Boston Waterfront - Convention Center - Pavilion is in the Convention Ctr areaBoston Harbor Front - Aquarium - within walking distanceQuincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial - within walking distnce
AaronJB Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Bidding higher in the hopes of avoiding a particular property can definitely lead to overbidding for the same property you would have gotten otherwise for less, and is definitely not recommended. The Omni Parker House is one of the most historic properties in the country (if it's not the longest-running hotel, it's up there) and so the smaller rooms are to be expected. HOTWIRE may be worth considering, as while a bit more expensive, you can make an educated guess as to what is showing.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
scotch Posted April 1, 2010 Author Report Posted April 1, 2010 I figures those areas would be the best. I think I'll stick with Quincy & Convention. I'm currently bidding for July and no luck yet. But I'm being cheap since I've got so long to go.
